If my fuzzy memory is somewhat correct, that is perhaps the type predictions coming on Smoaky back in 2004. Some seemed to think that a "running" attack could not possibly score as quickly and as explosively as a passing attack. Wonder if we will see deja vu all over again? I doubt it, but would love to see that again, with a slightly different ending..... Seriously, Jasper's best chance is to successfully execute onside kicks every time, and grind out the clock. Keep that Gilmer offense on the bench. That is probably Jasper's only chance in fact. Don't know much about this, but for sure one family of Spikes in Jasper moved there from Burkeville. Only problem with the Spikes and Jasper is that we need about 100 more of them!

Every dog has its down days. Back in 63 and 64, Jasper did not celebrate wins, they celebrated TDs, and not very often at that. In 1963 scored on Orange Stark, David Foster and company, it just made Stark mad. Really mad. Final score was 65 or so to 6 for Jasper. Don't miss those days at all. Jasper did beat Vidor something like 12-7 that year though. Only win in two years. So we need to have respect for those schools that are struggling. It easily could happen to Jasper again someday.

Jasper should have quit playing WOS after their first meeting in 86. Quit while you are ahead!

Some schools might consider those two seasons to be "winning" seasons.

This was/is a pay as you go project. I am amazed that they got anything at all. Hopefully they have plans to later pull out of their hats and put some parking perhaps on the other side of the stadiums. Not sure how much land is available near the stadiums, if any. As I remember the original campus site was 85 acres. This is speculation only, have no idea if they have thought this out.

LCM is getting Jasper at the best time for sure. I have learned to wait for district to decide what they can do.
