Well, for sure that worked for Jasper against China Spring. It is strange to me that LCM apparently thought one game series were good up until this week though....... The number of games, and the stadium are two different issues.

Perhaps both sides are parsing their comments somewhat. I tend to more believe the Jasper version of using Beck field. That is all that seems to make sense to me from a fans standpoint. The fans, all fans, not just Jasper and LCM fans are the big losers in this. After LCM and Jasper sell their alottment of tickets to the game, there probably will be none at all for people that would like to see a good game, and some just might like to see McMillan pitch. Who knows what the future holds, but someday he might be one of those stories you could tell your grandkids about seeing pitch. Then again, maybe not. Beck field would have still been a "home" game for LCM. If Jasper had not cared about the fans, they could have insisted on a Houston or Huntsville venue to get the game away from the screaming GT fans. But it is what it is. Carthage brought plenty of screaming fans to Lufkin. It still did not win the game for them. Let's play ball.

This might be funny if not so serious. It does not appear that Jasper knowingly agreed to flip to play at LCM. I think what is going to happen is that it is going to rain, rain, rain, until the only viable option is to play the game on Jasper's brand new field.

Now if he can scratch out a couple runs off McMillon......

You are right about the number of fans. It appeared yesterday that Joaquin and Lovelady pretty much filled the stands. LCM and Jasper would overflow the place. But If LCM wants to do home and home.......

Jasper has a nicer stadium! No kidding!

Not just revamped. It is a whole new ball park in a new location by the high school. Apparently state of art. At least four different series being played there this week, in whole or in part. It says a lot for the park when teams drive from the Houston area to play there.

I think Lovelady and Joaquin are also playing there at 1:00 so yes, they are stacking them in. BC/WOS better hope for no extra inning games! It is surreal to me that all those schools are driving to Jasper.

Not entirely accurate. Brooks left Jasper for Ozen, then left Ozen for one of the big Tyler schools, THEN he returned to Jasper to finish out his career.

What a difference a new stadium in a little town makes! Happy to see some playoff games in Jasper.

Jasper wins 4-3, after never leading in the game! Go Dogs! And amazingly, Jasper scored the winning runs with two out. Hope it goes a little easier tomorrow. Hard on the nerves.

Well, yes it appeared that Jasper did try to run with Silsbee. It even worked at times. But clearly not often enough. An amazing game. Don't think that I ever saw two teams both running like that. But Jasper had nothing to lose. I think it gave Jasper some good experience to get ready for district. In spite of getting soundly whipped, it was still a fun game to watch.
