  1. I found it interesting that Jasper figured somehow in every year except for 1999 playing a 20-4A team in the playoffs from 1994 to 2002 after which Jasper dropped in classification.
  2. come back Cards! hope to be able to go to your next two games.
  3. Congratulations on the win Silsbee Tigers! Good luck to you as you advance.
  4. Perhaps it is more like pulling a Navasota. I do not remember any Jasper High School football coach EVER winning a state championship. Came close only one time. And that was about 13 years ago.
  5. Jasper won 5-2 and qualified for the playoffs. KJAS link: [Hidden Content]
  6. I agree totally. It is just about this simple as I heard a coach say one time. Play rinky dinks, and you will become rinky dink. I apologize in advance if this statement offends any rinky dinks. And I think that coach won about 80 percent of his games over that 20 year period rather than 70 percent.
  7. COM came to play ball. Congrats to the Bears for a great season. And Dogs, bring home that State championship this third straight try.
  8. Congrats to LC-M. That was a hard earned win. Link to game write-up: [Hidden Content]
  9. Congratulations Jasper girls! Brazosport reportedly had a very good defensive team giving up less than 2 scores per game. To hang 6 on them is something else.
  10. Jasper won 4-1. Good game HF. Jasper faced gut check time in this game. This should help toughen them up for their next game.
  11. At 29:07 in second half Jasper scored from 20 yards out. Jasper 3-1
  12. HF came to play ball! Jasper is not much used to close games like this. It will be interesting to see how the two teams re-group in the second half.
  13. I feel for you Newton. I thought this would be the year for you.
  14. Will this game be broadcast over the internet? Perhaps KJAS since Jasper is no longer playing? Finally found the answer: Class 3A, Division II Region III Final 7:30 pm - Newton Eagles (13-0, 5-0) vs. Arp Tigers (11-2, 5-1), Dragon Stadium, Nacogdoches (Winner to face Lexington/Boling winner), Broadcast on KTXJ 102.7 FM and SETXsports.com
