Wow!  Just watched the onside kick from before halftime and I wish I could figure out how to save it and share it... Perfectly executed onside kick, we didn't touch their guy, they hit us in the back, we recover the ball... Ref gives them the ball and marks off 15 yards against us... oh, and the flag comes in about 3-5seconds late.... PNG dominated the second half and won the game , but can anyone deny that this little bonus for them was a complete momentum shift in the game

Where this thread appears to be going is exactly why the previous thread on this topic was deleted.  While there were equally passionate views both ways, the resolution to attach Coach Breedlove's name to Hooks Stadium was passed by a duly elected board of trustees.  The debate about which whether it remains is that for the current duly elected board which may or may not take it up....given the multitude of issues that this board has in front of them as is before any other school board, I doubt that they believe, and rightly so, that this issue warrants any sort of priority.
The back and forth here on whether Leroy Breedlove deserves his name on the field on Newton Ave. in West Orange will move the needle about as far as all of the debates here that has taken place on whether Carroll Thomas deserves his name on the stadium off of I-10 in West Beaumont.  All that will be accomplished is that nasty things will be said, probably about one another, and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, will result in a major headache for me.
Thus,  by the powers vested in me by Jordan Wilson, I declare this thread CLOSED!

What's ironic is that Barbers Hills new band director was hired from Vidor. He was an assistant at Vidor so he's familiar with Pirate stadium and the field.

The field was in horrible condition, but he shouldn't have put Vidor on blast IMO. He has to understand that everyone doesn't have industry and means to have newer facilities. Always be humble and appreciative of what you have, because it can be taken away.

I am out of here. Not going to stick around for the delay and 2nd half.

Im headed out. This weather is ridiculous. 

Vidor looked like a mirror image of previous BH teams last night. I felt bad for the Pirates because that offense won't allow you to catch up once you're down by 3 TD's. The Vidor players deserve a better playing field as well. Video screen was nice, but money shouldve been spent on turf or new grass. That field was nasty before any rain. You could see where it's been patched up in the middle of the field. The field won't recover this whole year. To the people of Vidor, pull your pocketbooks out and get them kids turf!! Who cares about a scoreboard. Hoping Vidor takes a look at adjustung to what works nowadays. Good luck Pirates on the rest of your season.

Let it be known that BH fans are staying calm after this win. It's  the first game on a horrible field. It was beat to you know what, mud everywhere. The bad thing is that we don't face any passing teams till Crosby. That will be the gauge I go by. Vidor didn't use Quintare? very much because it's a non district game. Vidor needs to learn to finish on offense and I'm afraid on defense they will struggle defending the pass. With that being said, it was the best coached game we've seen in a while on the Hill. Very impressed.  Put this game behind us and get ready for Santa Fe.
