Newton is tentatively scheduled to play friday week(23rd) at Abe Martin stadium in Lufkin. Winner between Teague and Palmer.(most likely Teague).

The question is not "will silsbee win?", but the question is, "will silsbee score"?  Probably not. maby a field goal.

Way to go Warren and Kountze. Your teams have come a long way and deserve respect. Good luck in the final week of play. Would love to see a 5 way tie.

The problem with finding a good stadiums at playoff time is that there are more teams looking for good stadiums than there are good first class stadiums . It's only going to get worse next year.

Newton has some kids with injuries and their playing time will be limited.

Hull Daisetta playing Hull Daisetta, I think Hull will win this one, should move up in the polls. No, wait, Hull will lose this one, should move down in the polls. Should be a close matchup.

Wouldn't it be great to see WO-S, Newton, and Nederland at Texas Stadium this year.

Kirbyville will win out Anahuac will lose to E Chambers Woodville will lose to Newton three way tie  --  Kirbyville is plus 8 -- Woodville is plus 2 --  Anahuac is minus 11. thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

Is Kirbyville undefeated in district?

no, not E Chambers by 20 + ..  E Chambers by 40+. I was talking to the Kountze city policeman before the game with Newton and he said Kountze had a good chance to beat Newton, that Kountze was fast and had a good defense. I ask him what he thought the score would be and he said he would not give me a score but guaranteed that it would be close. He ask me what I thought the score would be and I told him that I thought Newton would be down after last weeks game and the score would be Newton 51  Kountze 14. The man would not speak to me after that.

Newton wins district E Chambers second if Kville wins out they will be the third place team(they would be 4-3, one loss down the stretch and they are out. If Woodville beats Kirbyville then Woodville is third place team.Woodville will lose to Newton and will be 5-2 presuming they beat Kville and even if Kountze wins out which they will not then Woodville has already beaten Kountze . If Woodville beat Kville this weekend then Woodville is in the drivers seat for third place. NOTE: Kiville's X coach Alvarez was 3-7 last year at Ennis. Ennis is 7-0 this year. looks like he has turned another program around. His son coaches at Newton.

If you watch the sidelines you will see that Newton alternates nearly all their players throughout the game to keep them fresh the last quarter. Basicall nearly all the Newton players play throughout the entire game. Newton has good dept. So anyone Newton puts in has been playing throughout the game. As for the QB, when out starter goes out our sophmore comes in and Newton does not miss a beat. Newton had three starters out this game including one of our best offensive linemans but it did not hurt Newton that much because the kids playing behind them had been playing  throughout the season. It was good to see the people turn out and support Kountze. Good luck to Kountze , you have a good program started. It takes a little time to build a good program and I think this year has been a good start that you can build on.

Good luck Jasper, hope you win district. Carthage is beatable this year. Carthage had their hands full with Center and if I remember right Center only beat Buna by 3 points. Jasper is a lot better team than Buna(no disrespect to Buna). Jasper wins this one . Carthage is not the dominate team that they were two years ago.

I don't think WO-S is as good this year as they were last year--Offfense is not that good. Nederland is better then they were last year--Nederland beat WO-S last year.  Nederland is the better team this year. NEDERLAND  IS THE BEST TEAM. I have done a mock computerised game between this years WO-S and NEDERLAND and NEDERLAND won 17 to 3.

go ahead kvillecats and sit with him, he will be the one with the Newton jersey on. Stop Roberts and E Chambers is whipped. I watched E Ch. play Tatum last year and they stopped Roberts and it was no contest. I believe Kirbyville has the ability to win this one if they play a good smart game. I think we have found out that HJ was no fluke.

Don't count Kirbyville out. If Kville beats E Ch. this week then that really tightens everything up. Kville could then run the table and may make the playoffs.  This would put E Ch and Kville at 2-2 in district. Newton beats Kountze and Kountze is 2-2. Woodville has 1 loss but must still plaly Newton. Anuhuac has 1 loss but still must play Newton. I posted this just to make Kvillcats happy.

Kountze lost to Woodville they will lose to Newton, E Ch., and Kirbyville. Don't think that makes the playoffs.

and it was 50 to 12 NEWTON 8th grade over Kirbyville. Could have been worse but Kirbyville begged for the mercy rule.
