I talked to Deon at the WOS scrimmage last Saturday night and he was talking about how well Earl was doing. He said there was a good chance to see both of them on the corners next year.

It's been a while but I've had some good days on Lake Nac not to mention some pretty good nights also. Have you fished Pinkston. It was the place to fish years ago.

I just got back Tuesday night from a charter with Charlie Hardison. The weather was great. The moon was full and we still caught alot of fish. We were down from years past but not by too much. The yellow fin were hitting pretty good as were the black fin. We did have a problem with cuda and or sharks. It seemed to be with only the black fin though. I think we only had about 2 foot seas and we were 100 miles out.

If thats the case then I made a good decision.

Having a delicious pecan waffle in the company of setxsports fans (after watching the Broncos stampede the Mustangs) would be just "AWEsome".

My magic "mathematical mojo" is foreseeing the Broncos pull away in the 2nd half.

Look for Cody to get close to 400 yards of offense (rushing and passing).

I wonder when the last time someone got 400 yards against the Mustangs. I know it can happen but it seems like it has been a long time since a team has gotten 400 yards much less one player.

He is one of those kids you just like to watch run the ball.

WO-S has a long seeason ahead of them.....won't be easy just to make the playoffs playing like that....only time will tell how fast they grow up.........

I left in the 4th qtr but I liked the way we looked throwing the ball. It also looked like we made somewhat of an adjustment at the half and looked better in the 3rd qtr against the run.

It takes so much more than just pure talent. That guy had a ton of talent and just had bad luck with the injuries. He will find his way.

Do they have the guys to give him time to be good?

Meet with the parents before you ever meet with the kids. Tell them who you are and a little about yourself. Tell them what they can expect from you and what you expect from them. Not all kids can throw, or block but the can all hustle and pay attention. I also tell them if they have a problem with anything that I'm doing to talk to me after practice or after the game away from the kids and talk to me like an adult. I tell them if they don't embarrass me I promise not to embarrass them and then neither of us will embarass their child. This little speech has worked very well for me. I've never had a parent get out of line..........yet!

I think you can say that any year. When cross town rivals play you just never know. I agree it could happen but it would be an upset if it did happen.

I wish we could find out who changes our karma too. Since I use my initials as a screen name and I've used my real name on several occassions it makes me more cautious of what I say. It's easier to say things that aren't nice when no one knows who you are. I'll get my karma back one day.

"school sports should come before non-school sports"   - otherwise who will determine what is a legit excuse - summer swim team, bowling league, square dancing, world championship pie eating contest !

I don't think you need a legitimate excuse. All you need to do is make a decision. If there are consequences that cause you to have to do extra work to earn a position then that goes with the decisioin that you made.

They'll go good with the new turf if the bond issue passes!

I disagree I think he is completely right. School Sports come first.

What an experience these kids would miss if they were to go to football practice. Are you kidding me? School sport or no school sport they shouldn't miss this chance of a lifetime. You only get to be kid once. I know I would have been right there with those boys. Good for them for telling the coach they were going to play baseball.

I will be willing to bet that Whitehouse football participates in 7 on 7 football during track and baseball season.

Not to mention the 7 on 7 that goes on during the summer when he "wants or thinks" these kids should be playing other sports!

I'm looking forward to watching them against WOS.
