Just so yall know, when I leave the game I'm going straight west for 2 weeks deer hunting........except for Christmas,  dang it have to come home for Christmas.  But if we were to happen to pull this thing off, I'm gonna have a lot of time to smack talk from the deer stand. 🤣

No doubt the best 2 teams are playing.  If anyone can do it, it would be Gilmer.  Tradition, athletes, and desire.  Personally, if I like to root for the underdog when I don't have a reason not to.  Hope the game is as good as the one you had in the finals with Jasper.

Maybe I meant more of expectation than intimidation. We just like anyone else would be. Let's get there and then we will take our chances. Its not like we haven't gotten our ass kicked 3 different times in the state championship game. But 3 times we were in a place that many others would like to have been.

We are 9-1.........I was the 1. Games have been pretty hard to come by this year. Good luck. I think its gonna be a long night trying to get that rb on the ground.  You got to punish him.......over and over. 

Sounds like another game I grudgingly remember Lostaussie. But I ain't talking.lol
 

We were down 35-14 at the half. Their rb was killing us. But we kept pounding. If I remember correctly we scored 35 in the 3rd quarter and 42 straight before winning something like 56-41. That may not be exactly correct but its close. 

Total offensive and defensive line domination by the Bulldogs. There skill kids are no better than ours........but their lines outweighed us by 40 to 50 lbs per man and we couldn't do anything with them. Tried to make a game of it in the 3rd but an int let the wind out of our sails trying to make it a one score game. After that it was all Carthage.  They have a great team. I just wish they were in D1. They are gonna be very very hard to beat in D2. 

Carthage on a WHOLE nother level! It’s crazy the amount of talent they have year in and year out. 

I watched this game online last night. Gilmer is a good, talented team but it look like they were playing a college team last night.

Buckeyes look to try and get some payback over the Dawgs for the last few years. Carthage basically had its schedule canceled due to scheduling 5A teams and not being able to get anyone in lower classes to help them out. A 27-7 victory over Kilgore is there only game. Buckeyes come in with wins over Gladewater,  Atlanta, Henderson and Lindale. Lots of firepower in the offense as Junior QB Brandon Tennison has already broken 2 team records for yardage and the Buckeyes have as a team broken their yardage record for a single game. Carthage stingy defense looks to shutdown the Gilmer squad. Its on for Friday night and I just hope I can get a ticket!!!!

6A Tyler Lee opened up today as Kurt Traylor is headed to UTSA with his brother Jeff.
