  1. yea no joke!!! im waitin on my apology from its all about the u, because i told him vidor would run all over them and he said he would admit it if they did, so im waitin its all about the u :-) Vidor is a good team not sure if they are a playoff team. As far as running all over Lumberton, what game did you watch? Lumberton handled the Pirates in the first half. Lumberton comes out in the second half the at least three of their best players on the sidelines to various reasons. Vidor scored only when Beard was out of the game (all of the 3Q and most of the 4th). I will be convinced Vidor is good playoff team when they go thru mid-county with some wins! Those various reasons were they just didnt want anymore. We had a couple leave in the first half due to injury and someone steped up until they came back.
  2. Somebody tell ITS ALL ABOUT THE U AND RAIDERNATION that they can uncurl from the fedal position and remove the thumb from there mouths reality should have set in by now.Get on here and give some props are excuses.More than likely excuses
  3. Somebody give those L-Town fans a wake up call and let them know it was not a bad dream! They really did get it handed to them.
  4. Where is all the L-Town posters? Get on here and give the Pirates there props. It dont take that long to get to Lumberton. Oh I almost forgot the L-Train was derailed.
  5. Do both teams have all there players back? I do know Vidor has been practicing. What kind of shape will Central be in. Could come down to conditioning
  6. I don't know what to say..I am blushing... Your face was red but I dont think it was from blushing
  7. Congrats to all the kids on the team. It was a great team effort no superstars just alot of gritty little ballplayers that played well as a team.I have to go take care of my car now everyone that was there knows what happened. Piratefan we know what to expect the next time we meet the legends and will be prepared. I nominate you for the fireup coach next year.
  8. Great job Vidor! Very good tournament by all teams involved. TD you guys did a great job with the field as always. Piratefan your boys almost made it 3 for 3 with Vidor teams advancing.Great run Cory you should be proud of the job you all did
  9. Every parent and child needs to enjoy this experience. It may never come again for some.I've told mine how lucky he is to get the chance a second time and to make the most of it. There was an article in the paper awhile back asking VJ Bunner what some of his most memoriable baseball memories were and going to state in Shetland was in the top three. HAVE FUN GUYS!!!!!! Do your part Robby and make it 2 for 2
  10. Corey, right back at you. We have always enjoyed playing Vidor and Groves. This topic is one of the reasons my son and I are not playing/coaching all-stars this year. It got pretty ugly last year also. Chad That goes for me too Corey Vidor was a good group to coach and play against last year. I'm not coaching and my boys aren't playing this year either. I can say that one difference between all-stars and select ball is that the coaches get along. I have shared ideas and strategies with teams from Nederland and Bridge City. Those are the two teams that we have either scrimmaged or just gotten to know. don't get me wrong you still have a few coaches that get out of hand but most of the coaches are there to help kids regardless of where they are from. Speaking of that I would love to have kids come tryout for my team next year. I will post it when time comes. It doesn't matter to us if you live in TC, Vidor, Groves, or any of the other surrounding cities. All that matters to us is that your child want to first learn the game second want to have fun and the third thing usually takes care of itself if we (as coaches and parents) take care of the first two. The third thing being wants to win. Hey Td I coached the allstars with Cory Last year and my baby boy played left field on the shetland team and is now playing short on this years team. What age group are you going to put together?
  11. Vidor has there shetaland national allstars picked and it looks like they are going to be pretty strong.Have the other leagues picked yet? If so whats your teams looking like coaches
  12. Thanks for the compliment.Your exactly right when you say the kids know were they stand with coach Green.I see know favorites in his baseball program.Kids that work hard play and thats why they play hard for him.I just hope hes still around when mine get to this level. He also has some good assistant coaches with him as well.
  13. Completely amazes me that when Png was ranked in the top ten not one person said PNG did not deserve to be until Vidor beat them. Now the district is weak and it might not win another playoff game. Some people just want give this team any credit.
  14. Okay I admit you had a bad play in left but our third baseman had a ruff night to with 3 throwing errors. Errors are part of the game and good teams over come them. Both of these young men are good ball players and these plays were made early in the game. These teams played 4 innings of baseball after these errors with the score tied 3 to 3 so i dont think the error in left cost png the game. we got the hit at the end to win it
  15. While everyone is talking about the play at first that people think went vidors way it was close and could have been called either way. There was also a play that went PNGS way at first that no one is talking about and that run from png scored. It occured when a ground ball was hit to third and the first baseman was pulled off the bag but tagged the runner on the way bye he was clearly out but was called safe.Green argued this call if you remember but the call stood and the runner ended up scoring.Close calls in games usually have a way of working themselves out. Congrats Pirates on a big win
  16. If only our football team could repeat this score against them ;D
  17. Considering BC has played 3 games this year, that would mean he achieved most of those 200 wins in 7 years. That gives him an average of over 28 wins each season. Must be doing something a little right. Congrats Coach Bryant. BC looking for another 28++ again this year. not to take anything away from him but he doesnt have to do too much but put guys on the field, BC is a hotbed for talent, its more athleticism than it is coaching, IMO. Why would you make such a comment? Coaching is 75% of it in my opinion. Central and Ozen have all the talent in the world and dont win consistently in football. Vidors baseball program has done nothing but improve since Green took over. Its all about having good coaching. Good talent is made great by good coaching.
  18. Robichau and Sims will give Vidor many quality innings, the guy below could be lights out. Trae Hester Hester looked lights out throwing against OF . He picked up several MPH over the summer on his fastball. He still needs to get better control of the curve. Got alot of pop in the bat to.
  19. Vidor beat OF 9 to 4. Hester went deep and looked good throwing the ball. Robiceaux and Simms looked good as well. Need to work on base running. Had several picked off.
