Should be some very good games. I think the districts are pretty evenly matched this year. Vidor has had solid pitching all year but cant seem to get timely hits with runners in scoring position. From what I have read that's been a problem in 21-5A as well this year?

I think the Vidor/KWP series could come down to who has the best number 3 on Saturday? From the games I have seen in 22-5A pitching has not been the problem with Ned, Vidor,& PNG. Timely hitting has been an issue. I would not overlook Payne at Lumberton.

I wouldn't like that. Having to use up pitching before a playoff series starts is never good.

If Porter and Kingwood Park win out how do they determine seeding in 21-5A?

They are easy targets.. Both pitchers were on there game last night. A few walks got Payne in trouble. Kizer had 10ks and threw a complete game on 87 pitches I believe? That's the reason Lumberton lost. This was a 1 to 0 game in the top of the 7th with 2 outs. If Payne doesn't have to come out because of pitch count they still lose 1 to 0.

Statements like these kill me. The umpire had no vested interest in who won this game. No doubt Payne threw a great game but the kid from Vidor is pretty good also.

22-5A will be interesting for sure! I still think Png is the favorite but Nederland and Vidor have played pretty well also with wins over Bridge City and Grapevine. Vidor is extremely young with only 2 senior starters.

PNG has a stud sophomore QB that likes to take off running when his protection breaks down. He's more than likely going to be the fastest kid on the field. Contain him it should be close. If not the mound is in for a long night.

Back peddle from what? I haven't made a prediction on this game. But if I do will it make you feel better if I say Crosby will win?

Definitely not the best team in the state.. Maybe not in there on district? They were 42 to 20 better than Crosby the last time they played and if my memory serves me correctly Crosby fans were beating there chest then and telling everyone how good they were then. The only problem with that was that they were the only ones that believed it.

So I can hold on to this statement and bring it up when Nederland posters start ragging on Vidor right?
