The offense aint that bad we will score some points! Care to make that no posting bet? We have not won a game but I am confident enough to make this one.

Academics should come first. Football a close second in my opinion. Looks like the adminastration in vidor has put it on the back burner with the pay coach mathews is getting. Theres no doubt about it he is at a disadvantage when you look at his pay.

I think Mathews is a good coach. My opinion is and thats just what it is an opinion. He gives the OC and DC to much leeway in whats going on. Heres an example. Burnett went to the spread it was a disaster and they went to something else and it probably salvaged there season. Anyone that has saw us play knows that what were doing is not working on offense so a change of philosphy couldn't hurt. When the system your OC is running is not working step in make some changes and try to jump start it. Thats what a head coach should do in my opinion.

Vidorhas had a few other good coaches in Football but they have elected to leave after one or two years more than likely over pay issues Vidor dosen't set the world on fire with what they pay a head coach/AD. I would probably geuss hes the lowest paid in the district. That directly translates into getting quality assistants such as an OC. If you cant pay there not gonna stay. If you keep up with vidor football you would see why people are frustrated. I dont think they really want mathews to go they just want to see some changes on the offensive side of the ball. Baseball is another subject Kyle Green has been here for 3 years and the baseball program has done nothing but improve every year under him and Coach Humberson and should be very strong again this year. If you saw our basketball program 6 or 7 years ago you would understand how much improved it is.

I disagree, While I dont think a coach has to justify the way he coaches. I do think some legit football questions in a moderated forum is the least they could do. Without the fans buying tickets and there tax dollars there would be no program far him to coach at. What a coach owes a fan is up far debate but without them he would have a hard time making a living.

How far back will this test pick them up I wonder? I do think that we will be surprized at the results. Have you seen some of these kids that blow up from one year to the next. Theres more than hardwork going on in some cases. (JMO)

I think coop said earlier that the coach would have to be in a studio setting and the questions would be selected by a moderator.

I think alot of coaches would probably do it as long as they knew they were not going to get drug over the coals.

Your not gonna get questions from angry fans if the questions or moderated. If done correctly you will get some good football questions answered by people that know football.

Get some coaches signed up Coop.

At least the coach could get out his side of the story in a moderated setting

Your probably right. It would be nice though to hear there explanation for certian things they do in a game. It would probably put to bed alot of arm chair quarterbacking.

Coop, think you could use your pull to get some coaches on at certian times to go over games and answer questions? Would probably cut down on alot of second geussing by the fans if they new the match up problems that exist from team to team.

Should coaches use this forum to answer fans questions after a game? Win or lose.

If you look at the film he was telling who ever shouted at him to come on. While this hand jester should also not be tolerated it was a far cry from shooting the finger at someone. Like I stated before there was alot of emotion down on the field and it was going both ways.
