Nice post! Everyone has someone to answer to. If you dont have a boss then you are one looking for answers. Just so happens the people that coaches have to answer to are school board members and the fans. This is the real world and every paying job out there is result driven. High school coaches are no different. It does not matter weather its Mathews are who ever when your in charge its on your shoulders.

Iam with you diehard if the offense can ever get it going to keep the defense off the field so much this game will be closer than people think.

Well heres my take on it. We have a limited playbook and very few formations so were pretty predictable in what were going to do. Its hard for the fans to get into the rhytum of a game when the offense we run is not going to produce very many big plays. Theres many other reasons but this board is not the place to go into them.

Honestly, I think if the game would have been close these threads would not be going right now. Our offense has struggled against everyone except Houston Jones and it has just got people frustrated. If you were at the game what did you think of the offense.

I think the officials did a good job of letting them play and the better team won that night

Don't make it sound like there were more people from Lumberton than there were from Vidor.

You sound like a pretty smart guy so you should know that alot of these things are posted out of frustration. It seems like the football program just cant get a break when they need one to get over the hump. Football fan in Vidor see basball doing well and the basketball team doing well and they just get frustrated that football cant get it going. Ive posted some things that I wished I would not have posted but sometimes spur of the moment takes over so I can see where there coming from. Coach Mathews knows for sure that being the head coach and ad he will be under the gun when seasons like this happen. Sad to say it comes with the job.

Sounds like a shot at a Pop warner coach to me? If it is theres a little difference between pop warner and high school. One of them gets paid for his sevices the other volunteers his. Which one do you think should be better?

Excellent post! Changes do have to be made on offense weather its replacing the oc are turning over play calling to someone else. The game plan and play calling are not good.

If you watch the film the dirty play was going both ways the ball was not a fumble because he pitched it forward not backwards other than that L-town just flat out whipped us

Very true. If people were not complaining then I would be worried because the community would be satisfied with losing. The truth of the matter is that when a coach is hired its to win games. Like it or not thats the way it is.

Not to many but when you coach football in southeast Texas people want results. Winning makes everything better and we have not been winning so you know the rest of the story. I dont know if being judgemental of a high school coach is right or wrong but in the end they have to answer to these critics there tax dollars help pay there salaries. JMO

I am sure that all these post or out of pure frustration. I have been a season ticket holder for over 20 years and the people that sit around me have been a long time to. Some may be posting on this board? There frustration comes from years back when we probably should have won more games with the teams we had and now that we are in a rebuilding year (8 soph starting) they dont like it.

I know your not in love with Vidor but you honestly think that L-town will hold us to fewer points than Ned did? I think this game is close but we will score more than 3 points.

Vidors o line is very young and I do believe will come together hopefully before time runs out. They just need some help in the mean time like some quick passes and play action. Heres a hint we played a team that did just that friday.

I have to agree with your post it all comes down to making plays and our kids are just not doing it right now. Dig deep guys its up to you. One more thing. I would love to see our oc throw the ball on first down some.

While I would love to dispute your post I cant do it. When we get down like we were against Ned. We play to keep the score from getting any worse instead of trying to come back and win a game that is still with in reach.
