They return a few role players from this year. The JV won district, and i believe only had 1 loss on the season. This incoming group of sophomores and juniors were pretty good in junior high. Will still have a respectable team on the court next year.

EC by 5 tomorrow. This reminds me of the 2018 regional final EC vs Crockett. Crockett was a good team who pulled off the win over Coldspring, who was the favorite. LRA upset New Waverly tonight, most people’s pick to win the region. Should be a good one. LRA has some good athletes, but just think EC is the better basketball team. Especially at the pace this game will likely be played at.

Sutherland has been to the at least the regional semifinals 4 out of 7 years at EC.

They are not selling tickets at the window this year. And apparently you have to have the same zip code as the team playing in the championship to buy a finals ticket. Thanks Corona.

Either way that’s a tough out for any district champion.

Side note: EC got Kameron Smith back for this game. He scored 13pts, in his first action of the season since breaking his leg early in football season.

I know different weeks different offenses. Just saying I don’t see this being an easy game for either. I’m really looking forward to this one.
EC is a different team from the night they played HF. The freshman QB was thrown to the wolves, now he’s starting to look comfortable on the field.

I have tremendous respect for Coach Smalley and Orangfield. I know hope we beat them 60-0, just because of this guy, or girl. OF has two good players that run the ball, well. But they don’t have a player faster than EC’s 10th fastest player. Oh and they run the Slot-T...goodnight.
