  1. First, thanks for the kind words. I've observed what I perceive as unbelievable changes in the last 25 or so years, and many of my post based on those, and what I anticipate they are leading to, I fear some may think I'm goofy as a road lizard (and I hope I'm wrong). As far as voting in the presidential election, which will be my 13th time, it looks like Trump vs Hillary, I'll vote against Hillary but it appears to be the poorest choice I can ever remember. If Trump wins, he may surprise me, but if Hillary does, nothing she'll do (or screw up) will.
  2. Your post indicate to me, while our views may not always agree, you are serious about your vote, and I admire that. I'll just put my 2 cents in and I won't be offended if you disagree completely. First, on all 3 issues, Bernie the Socialist is out on all 3. 1- economy, Trump the business man should be top. 2- SC, I suspect Trump would at least appoint moderates. Hillary very liberals. And 3- just a guess they'd fear Trump, but if pushed, I think Hillary might respond. Good luck in your selection.
  3. I agree about Bloomberg g23. Imo he's ahead of his time. What he did in NY with the soda's, etc, is what the Dems will eventually do once they're firmly entrenched in power - a nanny state on steroids. Will be a rude awakening for all the folks who depend on the Govt to live (including those like me who are retired but still depend partly on SS - my money but controlled by the Govt). I don't see that happening in my lifetime, but I'm afraid my G'kids will. Essentially, those that depend on the Govt will be slaves to it. More on it, the more slaves, and Obamacare was a big coup. No more sodas, candy, meat. You'll eat soylent green and like it. Sci Fi today, reality tomorrow.
  4. If it's any consolation Hoops, the odds are better for me hitting a slot machine at Delta than voting on a winning candidate lol
  5. Your right. That's the reason I put the smiley face. Trying to lighten things up. After the trauma of watching the Lady Rebels (including my G'daughter) lose in Dbl OT Friday, I need a little levity lol. Good catch though H A. And heaven knows I mess up enough someone needs to keep me honest.
  6. Here's what boggles my mind. It's been evident to me that Trump was on a roll, so surely the RNC could see it. Now, if I heard right, they're trying to figure a way to beat him. My feeble brain tells me it's too late. They also didn't want Cruz, who's in second. Knock knock RNC, maybe you need to embrace whoever the voters pick and start consolidating your efforts toward beating Hillary. And to show y'all how smart I am, I thought there was no way a lying, no class, felon would get the Dem nomination. My 1970's, 1980's logic is so far out of sync with today's electorate it's pathetic. I need to charge my Flux Capacitor. There was a candidate in my youth, Alfred E Neuman. He could win now as a Democrat.
  7. How could Trump, or any Rep, have a chance against someone who has this much character? [Hidden Content]
  8. Ironic, one of the most intelligent and sincerest candidates in the race, of either party. Perhaps not as cognizant of foreign policy as he needed to be, but there are so few good folks involved, it's a shame to lose one.
  9. Get off at Buffalo exit, US-79. Take a left. About 9 or 10 miles you'll go thru Jewett. Two or three miles farther Leon HS on right. PS: Had a Hi Patrol sit up on our way back to Buffalo after Lady Rebels game.
  10. Sadly I agree with you 5GB. It appears conservatives, as I (we) would define them are headed for extinction. The Rep party of today has moved from the right to the center. Unfortunately, the Dems are now ultra left. Texas is one of the last bastions of conservatism. And it's Texas Independence Day. Only reminds me how bad we need another. Just a dream, but what is life without dreams?
  11. PS:. Excellent Gym at Leon HS. You need not bring a stadium seat. Unfortunately, it's where my Lady Rebels had their Dbl OT loss. I expect the BS boys to go there and sit things right.
  12. Roll on Wildcats! You have nothing to fear but fear itself. I think John Wayne said that
  13. Your man was my second choice, but Trump is looking like Secretariet in the Derby at this point. My first inclination is to blame LIV. But looking back at his initial popularity when he (gasp) disregarded PC, and talked "tough", I'm more inclined to think its extreme frustration. After the last 8 yrs of Govt, that most Rep perceive as the most damaging, irresponsible, foreign policy in modern times, and the repeated bypassing of two branches of our Govt (which I'm afraid both current leaders will want to emulate), and the real killer, the insistence that we take in refugees from the Middle East (and inevitably some terrorist), I think many Rep voters are fed up with politicians. Here's Trump talking tough, like he's got a pair. And he's an outsider, plus a successful (hmm) businessman to get the economy back on track. I can see his appeal to John/Jane Doe. Now my disclaimer, if I made my living handicapping politics, I wouldn't be able to buy a pack of gum, so get a box of salt and sprinkle all over this post
  14. Lol, I'd agree with that.
  15. IMO this will probably be the initial shot fired by the liberal media once Trump is the Rep nominee. Can't release now supposedly w/out Trumps approval, but when he's in, it'll mysteriously get leaked - whatever it is. [Hidden Content]
  16. Personally, I'd find it hard to find anyone who I wouldn't vote for over Hillary. Imo she's in it to get what she can for Hillary. Only plus is I think she has bigger balls than Obama.
  17. There's a post that the girls from Nazareth (1A) have won state 20 times. Is that a state basketball record? It boggles the mind, as does Canyon.
  18. Btw isn't there a law that no school sport can win 21 State Titles?
  19. Play your game Wildcats. That'll take care of business.
  20. Well my die is cast. Unusual experience for me. I voted for someone I like, and against one in particular, I don't like. What are thoughts?
  21. Today's Politicians are a target rich environment for comedians. Most are already a joke, so add a dash of words and a drop or two of enhancement, and lo and behold, a Political Pie is complete. Guaranteed to make you laugh.
  22. Watching Fox this morning for a few minutes. If you didn't know better you'd think it was Trump vs Rubio.
  23. Forgive me for repeating myself, but if Hillary is the choice of approx 50% of Americans (Democrats), this country is on a steep downhill slope. I find it ironic that our country has achieved for its citizens more prosperity than anyone in history, but has created this many, either uninformed voters, or those who want to replace the system that brought us this prosperity. To complete the story, we must only go back to "The Greatest Generation", a citizenship who had endure the worst depression, and hardships since our country's inception. As a whole, they put it all on the line, fought and died on two fronts against enemies who were not only prepared for war, but battle hardened. Almost 300,000 of our military alone died. Now 50% would vote on a Socialist agenda, for a person who is a habitual liar who has probably exposed much of our secret information. Is that the definition of irony or what?
  24. Maybe Sen Sessions from Ala who just endorsed him. The way things are going for him, it doesn't seem to matter. Almost like the way was paved for him.
  25. I'm thinking we're going to lose at least one in this attack on Neagan. Best guess I think will be Abraham (big redhead dude). I sure hope it isn't Daryl.
