CardinalBacker got a reaction from SmashMouth in That Moment She Realized Her Hero Doesn't Like Black People!
There’s a common misconception that separate outcomes are “proof” that racism exists, even when there are more plausible explanations.
There more white people in prison for “white collar crimes.” Does that mean that the system is slanted to unfairly punish white people for committing those types of crimes? No, it means that more white people COMMIT those types of crimes, which leads to more white people are in prison for doing those types of crimes. There is always an immediate rebuttal that states, “oh, yeah? But when black people and white people commit the same crime, black people get longer sentences!” And that claim is never substantiated with actual evidence… because a closer examination of the two examples submitted always has some mitigating factor.

Partner, you're wasting your time. You are asking her to give up on a lifetime of manufactured repression & oppression. It's a comfortable place for her and those like her (those who would rather point to excuses than solutions). Does racism still exist? Yes it does - but not systemically like many claim. If she gives up on the idea of systemic racism controlling her life, that means she'd responsible for her own successes & failures. That's a scary place to go when you've been shielded under the blanket of "woe is me" your whole life.

But they did. How can someone say “those dirty racists burned down the black Wall Street (Tulsa) in the 1920s, then say “we didn’t have anything until the civil rights act of 1964? Were they exaggerating about the “black Wall Street,” or when they say “we couldn’t have anything until ‘64?” Because both can’t be true.
Did HBCUs exist? George Washington Carver went to college in the 1880s. It didn’t suddenly become possible in the 1970s. The fact is this…. My parents chose not to go to college, just like yours chose not to go. But 50 years later I’m not blaming it on racism.
The problem with false claims of racism work like this… they rob people like you who make good decisions of the credit you deserve. You didn’t make it “despite all of the racism,” but you’re forced to say that because the success you achieved with hard work invalidates the racism excuse that others like to fall back on. You, by existing, invalidate their claims.

Like I said… anybody who keeps saying “those people breaking, windows, fighting the police, and especially the ones dragging the gallows were invited in” is specifically a traitor and doesn’t support the Constitution, or the United States. They just want trump to be the boss. ,

Anyone who watched what happened after Trump lost the 2020 election and subsequent failed attempt to subvert our peaceful transfer of power, then supports him again is a traitor, plain and simple.
That’s what you call people who continue to support a would-be despot who tried to overthrow the government. They are a threat to democracy. You don’t want democracy, you want Trump.

It’s all untrue, every single word, as are all of your Trump posts.
Signing off, traveling tonight.

Because I’ll be honest…. History is going to be much more kind to Obama than Trump, and for good reason. Obama might be a progressive, which I can’t stand, but he is a decent person. You can’t say that about Trump. Obama tried to make sure poor people could afford health care… Trump gave his rich buddies tax breaks.
Trump borrowed more in four years than Obama did in eight. So much for trickle down economics working for anybody.

CardinalBacker got a reaction from Big girl in Warren Buffett Said That He Could End America's Deficit Problem 'In Five Minutes'!
To address the deficit, you’re going to have to look at the biggest drivers of our spending. Social security and Medicare combine for 35% (21 and 14, respectively), then 13% of our spending is on interest on the debt we’ve already racked up, then another 13% on MedicAid. Finally you reach what used-to-be a cash cow of defense spending at 13%.
Our deficit spending has probably already destroyed us. Biden keeps talking about his plan to raise taxes on the wealthy and bring in 500 billion dollars over the next 10 years… meanwhile, we’re adding 3 trillion per year to the debt right now. Hard times are coming. They’ll either be because we do the hard things in terms of cutting our spending, or because the whole thing topples because of the size of our debt.
That’s what’s so crazy about the talk about the Trump Economy. They literally just cut taxes without doing anything about our spending, and deficits soared. Follow that up with COVID spending (direct gifts from the Treasury) and we’re headed into deep, uncharted waters (for us, anyways). Cutting taxes won’t fix it, and neither will raising taxes. We’ve got to make some hard choices or watch it all burn down on top of us.
Don’t blame the politicians. “We the People” keep electing people who give us the best short term gains, and it’s going to end badly. I believe that I’ll see $150 loaves of bread in my lifetime.

Yeah…. I really wish I could be proven a rapist, twice impreached, obese, convicted felon, with hundreds of millions of dollars in judgment debts, facing prison, with 60 more felony counts pending in multiple jurisdictions, and my wife (nudes available on the web) and kids won’t be seen in public with me… after getting beat four years ago by what has to be considered the worst Presidental ticket ever.
But he’s doing it for us because he loves America.
Super jealous.

Certainly….. but just like the right wingers who call for abolishing the ATF, getting rid of certain federal courts, term limits, blah blah blah…..
The problem is that the only people who can do that are the same people who put those in place to begin with.

You make a good point about Obama! Imagine if his wife decides to run? The R’s would be done and only have themselves to blame.... I won’t hide anything, I’d vote for her, they get on here complaining about this and that 4 years later I’m doing damn good myself.. seems they’re the ones depending on government to save them when the average working American figures it out no matter what

This is such a dumb argument. Obama got more votes than Reagan. Does that make Obama a better President? No… the number of voters increases in subsequent elections. I’m not arguing that Trump can’t get a lot of votes… I’m just pointing out the fact that he’s better at getting people to vote AGAINST him.
The ONLY election fraud in 2020 was done by republicans, starting at the very top. From trying to “just get me votes over the phone to the Georgia SOS, to sending fake electors to the Capitol, to a physical assault on the Senate attempting to stop the actual counting of electoral votes, it was Rs. All Rs.

Yeah, right…. Trumpers will look at a mountain of PROOF that Republicans tried to interfere with the results of the 2020 election but say “nah…. I don’t believe it.” But will sweat their own souls to hell that the democrats stole the election without a single shred of evidence…. Not proof, they don’t even have EVIDENCE of any wrongdoing, much less proof. Not even a single cell phone photo. But that doesn’t deter the red-hatted fools belief in things unseen.
And if you believe it happened in 2020, what’s going to keep it from happening again? Because it didn’t happen. A few people tried, and they got busted. All Repubs, btw.
Buncha babies.

CardinalBacker reacted to bullets13 in Tennessee woman awarded nearly $700K after being fired for refusing COVID-19 vaccine requirement
You’ll never convince me that the (original) vaccines didn’t greatly decrease sickness and death. By the end of it all I knew 16 people personally that died from COVID, and the only one who was vaxxed was a double organ transplant recipient. Unless we’re to believe that every health organization in the country is in on a giant conspiracy, the numbers of hospitalizations were insanely skewed towards the non-vaccinated. I have 4 parents and 2 in-laws. 4 of the 6 were vaccinated, and the other 2 both ended up in the hospital with COVID, one of them twice. I’ve also never seen any realistic proof that ivermectin worked, and considering around 99 out of 100 people survived COVID, you could take 100 ivermectin users and 99 would end up swearing to the effectivity of the medicine. All that having been said, I never felt that the vaccine should be mandated, or that someone shouldn’t be allowed to take a medicine that they wanted to try. It should be a personal choice. It’s obviously a non-issue at this point now that COVID has mutated to something that generally hits people less hard than the common flu.

CardinalBacker reacted to tvc184 in Why The Debate When The Parties Have Not Chosen Their Candidates?!
The DNC push to install (not elect) Hillary as the heir apparent is what started the chain of elections since 2012. It will finally play out this year. In 2028 we won’t have a bunch of 80 year olds fighting for a spot.
Had 2016 been a completely fair primary from the DNC, Hillary would not have been the Democrats’ nominee.
Anyone but Hillary would have beaten Trump but they wanted their female president and a Clinton at that. So they installed one of the worst candidates ever. That have Trump his stunning victory which in turn started TDS, ABT, etc.
