Huntington beat PCA tonight so they will be 1 seed and PCA 2 seed.  Huntington will get Buna and PCA gets EC. Both games I believe are Tuesday in Lumberton starting at 6:00.

Those Newton kids are competitors.  Doesn’t make much sense to do that to them. 

It was impressive to see how much Newton improved from Thursday morning to Saturday.  They've got a good season in front of them.

Not sure I’ve ever been to a game where Huntington got away with anything. Especially down by 50 in a bi-district game...

Diboll beat Huntington by thirty in the first round of district and scored over 90. Good job Coach Jones for a good game plan and good job players for the execution. 

Have not heard final score but heard Huntington came back from 21 down at half to win against Kountze.

Huntington scores 2 in bottom of 7th to win 4-3. Lufkin Pete Runnels Tournament. 

Huntington went 4-0  beating Athens,White Oak, Spring Hill and Bullard. Good start to the season. 

Seems simple to me...couple kids from Huntington excited to be in the playoffs and play #1 in the state Silsbee, regardless of what seed they are (although JV Coach, they were one game from district champs...follow the district and you'll understand).
And Kountzer, I'd agree with No Look and ST and say just some clean fun.  No one is trying it start anything and if you take that as trying to start something, I would suppose that when my six year old told me after the seeding loss to Hudson "well dad, if you wanna be the best you gotta play the best", he was trying to start something too....smh
So regardless if a thunderstorm is in the area or not, Ill be there to watch two teams battle it out Monday in Livingston...because 1.) I would sure hate to say on Tuesday morning that I missed the game because I didn't want to turn on my windshield wipers and 2.) because I cheer on and follow the Red Devils 24/7/365...not just when they're ranked #1, favored or its convenient...
Good luck to both teams...but cheering for an upset!
 

Hey I for one never have a problem with anything like that as long as it doesn't get personal or negative.  As far as "bring on Silsbee" or prove you are number one,  heck back when I was in a lot better shape and able to compete, it wouldn't have mattered who you put in front of me I would have had that same attitude.  You have to have confidence and want to see where you stand.

Great game for the Red Devils.  Robertson had a great game, probably 460 all purpose and I think 6 TD...but with as impressive as he was the Red Devil defense played awesome.  Also credit to all the Red Devils for sticking it out after being down 14 in the first half and playing through.  Congrats Huntington.

Im proud for HS that they had the numbers they had.  Also y'all are right, they had some GREAT looking kids.  QB can throw, had some kids that can catch.  Good luck to them, I hope they blow someone out this season.

On a different note, I'm just glad as far as I know Huntington doesn't have to play a town with a loop this year...Let alone a multimillion dollar stadium, or McDonalds or a....
