Only because of his past post from last year.  He was a coach from nederland.  I have met him once last year while we were both watching teams we were going to play.  Not sure if he remembers me though.  My name is Ruben for what it is worth.  I get around and have lots of friends from the mid county area.  Most are in junior division still but a few talkers from the senior teams in that area.  After rereading your post, I guess you were asking Hawk, not me.

Lumberton goes from victim of Nederland and Bmt to villain of "Spirit of the Rule".  We have "inflategate" I hear.  Balls over inflated used only on kickoff so as to bounce out of control, and onside kicks when score is lopsided.  I personally don't like the way the rule is imposed so it doesn't matter to me.  Just find it funny that the team that caused coaches to get suspended last year could face the music this year for the same thing.  I am not sure if it is even the same coach as last year but I do know it is the same team.  Would be curious to hear if it is.

I hate all this LOVE out there.  The season is early and I am sure that will change.  Those Nederland boys are glad beaumont is giving them a chance this year.  I loved watching the talent on that team.  Great kids and some good coaches in my book.

Maybe I didn't see the whole game.  I know that there are some talented good kids on that team whisperer, but the only one I saw that scored or gain positive yards was #9.  He had about 600 yards it seemed like.  Who is that kid?  is he new?

the peewee png team had a very nice presentation.  I think their league president was the one that did it. 
the junior ned team did not have much of a presentation either.  one stjfl guy and 2 others handed out trophies with not a word being said.

Nederland white ran right at mr. Flinthills shut down defense. There was nothing shutdown with the blocking from whites line and backs lead blocking for their awesome back.
Game was close in first quarter but white blew the doors open in 2nd half. Good game by both teams.

I see Bmt gold having a chance to win this one with their speed.
As far as the Nederland teams, I didn't get a chance to see either one of them play this weekend.  I will be there next Saturday though.
I don't see black running that defense against them if it is what I am thinking of (mirror defense).  Once their back breaks the line he is gone.  White has too good of blocking for that defense.  I hear there may be some surprises in stock for this one.

For the other games you may be right.  PNG senior will be out for revenge against vidor so it may be opposite of last time they played.
would love to see another png v. bmt super bowl.  it always makes for a good game.

Lamar, not so fast on that guaranteed super bowl for next year. according to the whisperer he is coaching Nederland senior next year and will be stacked supposedly.

latest update is that the Nederland middle schools have more smack being talked by the kids than this board ever thought of.  you can only imagine which team doing the most talking.  apparently one team has told kids to talk on field.  too funny. 

Nederland White has dominated on both sides of the ball
Nederland Black has been good on both sides of ball but can be scored on
Cupcake crew is a new team since they played Ned. B and will make it a game
Bmt. B has solid backs with some speed
Lum red-have potential to beat both bmt teams
Vidor-doing better with their running up the middle and up the middle and up the middle
Bmt. G-they did beat the warriors and Png P but will not beat Png next time, if they meet again.
Png P- only because they lost to bmt gold and have to prove themselves
PNG w-struggling to us their huge linemen to their advantage
Warriors-talented but unorganized at this time.

You are  never going to settle anything regarding this topic on here.  There are disagreements of what the rules are, and what the rules should be.  There is also disagreement of what the punishment should be if a coach does anything wrong.  You name it, from rules, to proper investigation, to how they are interpreted and enforced are all up for debate.  Bottom line is I hate to see the coaches and league go through all of this.  Hopefully this will all be behind us soon.  I am ready for some fun poking and prodding on another subject.

Not sure who wins between the two Ned teams? Not sure if they play before playoffs. Would think it would be a relatively low scoring game.

I will tell u I saw kids after that white game so excited they got to run the ball. One thing people may not realize is white has good line at least 2 deep from what I saw. Peewee Herman wouldn't have been scared to run through those holes.

Black will close those holes though. I need more time watching white against better comp before I know what they are really made of.

Looks like bmt pride did know all Ned white plays 16 power, 16 power 16 power.
