I think Kirbyville is just responding to all the pre-season trash talk about mighty Buna baseball. It's all in fun. After Buna got shutout by a player who hadn't played in three years there looked like there was lot of bickering and arguing between Buna coaches and Buna players. What's that all about?

Heard they dyed thier old white game pants lime green and bought some special dark green T-shirts with numbers along with dark green socks. Should be a special night! 8) All fans are asked to wear their green! Word is Coach McKeller is dressing as a leprechaun and will introduce the starting lineups. Irish music will be played in between innings and the Kirbyville cheerleaders will be wearing their Lucky Charms outfits and will be River Dancing during the 5th inning stretch! Shaping up to be a special St. Patty's Day night!

I can't believe Mighty Buna didn't even score a run on a kid who hasn't played baseball in THREE YEARS! The Buna baseball bleacher drums are so intimidating! Next time we play look for the Kirbyville Wildcat Express Airhorn to make an appearance! Hoooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

Wasn't at the game but I heard the Cats just kept on hitting and hitting on all their pitchers. Cats have a good squad this year.

Musgrove doesn't go to an outside coach. He let's his coaches coach him. It's called trusting the system. the system doesnt always work for all kids .. Musgrove would be great on any team no matter who the coach was he is a natural Depends on who the coach was. Ol' chinese proverb.. "Many a coach can screw up even the most naturalist of players." You're right though about the system. That's probably why the past couple of teams at Kirbyville haven't been very productive. Kids not working by the system. Too many outside interferences. The kids this year seem to be trusting the system pretty well. I would say they have all "bought in" to what's going on. I've watched them a couple of times this year. It's a different team... they actually act like a T - E - A - M. That's refreshing to see. Don't see any egos out there in the couple of games I've seen.

I agree, but only to the point that the "outside" coach doesn't go against his high school coach's teachings. Correct? If that's the case, then I'm all for it!

If Kirbyville does play Silsbee I dont think it will be a good game....... Kirbyville graduated to much talent and Silsbee will have alot of talent returning plus Silsbee has the best QB in SETX Jermy Johnson...... Irrelevant post. These two teams do not play in 2009.

Lucky? All you guys had to do was make a field goal and you couldn't even protect it. It got blocked! The Cats earned one more possession! Hazlewood directed the Cats all the way down the field to the Bulldog 20. Then it was fade to Musgrove for 6! And then fade to Hughey for 2! Game Over! 2009 should be an exciting matchup again! Those little 2A Cats will try to hang with the 3A big boys of Jasper.

Kirbyville will be 3A if the enrollment requirements stay the same and Kirbyville's current enrollment stays the same. What 3A district would Kirbyville be in if this happens?

I'm just going off of last year when Kirbyville DID beat Kountze and while Kountze may be better, Kirbyville is a WHOLE LOT BETTER than last year. Anyway, nothing serious just a little fun forum smack talk. 8)
