  1. Nobody's complaining. We're just voicing our opinion about his opinion. A person can give their opinion which automatically opens them up now for scrutiny. It's the right of everyone to be able to voice their opinion. Remember what Gabe said about the courageous sports writer or anyone else who wants to give their opinion, "Be a man, write your opinion and feel great you have this liberty to do so in this country." Gabe also said to give Kudos to the courageous sports writer who is brave enough to write about how "pathetic" the PNG players played for MB.
  2. Why give kudos for giving his opinion? That's his job. Let's give kudos to the garbage man also for dumping that trash can. Same thing. Actually yes you should. Are you out there dumping trash unless you are a trash man? I am a type of person who gives honor to anyone's line of work as long as it is legal and ethical. Someone has to do the jobs. Unless that person is in the line of work of coaching and he or she doesn't happen to win enough games then it's okay to take the mighty pen and rip them for their win - loss record or on the other hand to give "kudos" to the courageous sports writer who is making the brave comments while using words like "pathetic" to describe the play of teenage boys who, for who the most part, weren't even old enough to vote in the last election. It then doesn't matter to "HONOR" the job of a coach even if that coach's actions are "legal and ethical" because they are then fair game to the courageous, honorable, non-hiding, gutsy sports writer, regardless of the lives that particular coach may be positively touching or impacting, right Gabe?

How about this quote from the article: "Here's some proof that PN-G lacked such performers in 2008. First, a 5-5, 135-pound cornerback (Tyler Gizzi) led the Indians in tackles. That's a wonderful compliment about Tyler but it's a pathetic comment about the performance level Burnett received from his larger-sized defenders." Why would anyone give "kudos" to a sportswriter who would slam the performance of high school kids by labeling it with terms like "pathetic?" The sportswriter is so brave to write an article and label the performance of high school kids as pathetic! These are not college or professional athletes. They are kids who still live at home with their moms and dads!

  5. We saw you first hand against Kountze at Silsbee on a lovely Saturday afternoon. We saw you. You're RB #32 is very good and your #6 is the go to guy in the air. That's all I have to say.
  6. yea well its cool you know where the mental institution is maybe you should find out where the elementary school is an figure out how to spell.... wait till anahuac pulls out the upset all yall thinkin yall already got it won ta heck with yall Kirbyville better bring it when they come to play us next week. Son, it will be brought! Trust me! 8)
  7. There will be a Friday morning headline also: Kirbyville vs. Anahuac on Thursday night
  8. Wildcats are the home team.. Well thats what I heard anyways.. The Wildcats are the Home Team!!!!! for sure just found out Anahuac is the home team. Look at the bracket. Kirbyville is the home team but will wear white. While Anahuac is the visiting team but will wear black. Kirbyville fans will be sitting on the pressbox side and Anahuac fans will be on the other side.
  9. WOS will hammer Caldwell. Mark my words.
  10. Caldwell runs it better than Vidor. Kirbyville runs the Wing/Slot-T.
  11. Caldwell runs it really well! They quick huddle from about 4 yards away from the ball. Sprint to the line, set, snap and go. A lot of trapping inside and outside. Play action pass is pretty effective. I saw Kirbyville beat Caldwell last year. The RB they had last year went to Texas. He was a stud! Earl Campbell's nephew... Cantu was his name. Last year against Kirbyville, Caldwell acting like they have never had to defend a forward pass.
  12. Uh no... they run the Sling It - T!
  13. Whoever gets Anahuac second round will have to deal with a team that is playing great football right now! Their RB is something else from what I hear!
  14. It's never too late to move to another school district either so you can win on Friday night. Just a thought.
  15. How much does it cost? I have no idea. What's a round about figure to broadcast a game from Woodville?
  16. I thought vicious hits were what players were supposed to do? I would prefer to hear of "clean, hard hits". Vicious just has undertones of uuuhhh, well you know...DIRTY, Malicious, intending to cause bodily injury. kinna unsportsman like...don't you think?? Oh my, you are being "offended" by adjectives! Vicious can't be used to describe a hit? Maybe we should just play flag football.
  17. They also knew how horrible the parking situation is over at their home place and how long it takes to get out of that outdated parking complex! What a joke!
  18. Come on! Somebody has to know!
  19. When was the actual last time a Kirbyville football team beat Newton???? I know it's been a couple of decades but does anyone know for sure?
  20. Gale Sayers' Acceptance Address for the George S. Halas Award for Courage CLICK ON BELOW TO WATCH THE SPEECH... better have a tissue with you. Brian's Song - Gale Sayers Acceptance Speech
  21. Maybe that coach needs to be let go because he falsely advertised to the school board that he "was a good enough coach" to lead those young men. Now he's saying he's not good enough to get the job done and needs to get better. Let him go and find somebody who has some confidence! Just a thought.
  22. Sounds like he doesn't have enough confidence. That will definitely spill over to your team and could be the difference in a closely contested game. Just a thought.
  23. Word is now that the CC Brass doesn't want to play on Thursday unless they just have to. I believe Woodville still has a shot for the playoffs if they win this Friday by a certain margain they will be in. If that happens then the Woodville coaching staff, workers and administration would not be at Woodville for a Kirbyville-CC playoff game because they would be at their own playoff game at another site. If Woodville doesn't make the playoffs then I'm sure the game will be on Friday. Thursday is a million times better than waiting, and waiting, and waiting, to play on a Saturday! Thursday night showdown! The only game in town! That's awesome!
  24. Thursday, November 13, at Woodville, 7:30 pm
  25. Who would they meet in the first round? Looks like Chapel Hill. Jasper goes big school.
