What is Crackerland Cavs and Crack City? Never heard that before.

Well, I can see that my opinion has stirred the pot. I guess I owe AAW an apology, but since it was simply a case of constructive criticism, I see nothing wrong. When someone is going to put it out there, they are going to have to handle some feedback, which is not always congratulatory. I hope no one holds this against me as it is just an opinion.

Wow, $232 million down to $88 million...who is the real winner? OK, after I leave the hospital, I know I would have to move away, so I would buy some serious acreage with a private pond in the Rockies and live a peaceful existance. I'd have my own video and sound room for movies and listening to music. I'd also love a nice pool table and bar. Like bear, I would also try to collect a few classic cars. I know I wouldn't gamble it away because I have already hit the big one. I'd also donate $1 million to some place like Hughen school in PA. Put the remainder in a credit union and live off the interest. I'm a simple kind of guy.

I would have loved to go to the game, but my work schedule prevents this. Let's see, enjoy some baseball or keep my job.....hmmmm! So don't be telling people what they should do if you don't know their circumstances. AAW, I thought you did an alright job, you just got a bit too excited for Brenham when they threw a strike or hit the ball. I know you are trying to make it interesting, but it just seemed slanted. Then you come back and post about how Brenham's cupboard is not bare. I wouldn't post anything about how good Brenham is going to be next year. According to most sports people in the know, Nederland wasn't even supposed to be on the same field as Friendswood or Brenham, but we showed them a ''what for''. That, to me, is what's exciting and what makes baseball what it is. Sorry, I must go to work now....

Maybe the announcer next year will be a little more biased for Nederland. Great season Dogs. You showed the ''Almighty Brenham'' that you weren't just going to roll over after losing the frist one. Believe me, they wouldn't want another series with you. Keep your heads held high.

LCM used to have an ace pitcher by the name of Beau Hale. LCM would try and convince their next opponent to play one game series. LCM would pitch Hale because he was that good. I don't know how much rest he got, but it couldn't have been much. I really don't know, to be honest.

I guess this angle is always used by the team that just lost, but sometimes, especially when you have a big winning streak going, and with a 3 game series, it's ok to drop one. I know you want to win them all, but sometimes dropping one brings you down to earth and makes a team collect themselves and play two great games back-to-back. Hopefully this is the case for my Dogs. The Astros were questioned as to why they didn't have any hispanic players. Houston has a large hispanic population and these players put rears in the seats. (except Pudge is probably gone next year anyway). I happen to agree with some of what you are getting at, and also, why would we trade our best pitcher (not counting this season so far)? I'd keep Berkman too. He has a history of slow starts. Just my two cents.

I remember a Friendswood fan talking about the 3rd game in our series with them, while the 2nd game was still going on and Friendswood had just taken the lead.....he even called me an idiot. Dogs, y'all have been playing some great ball all season. Just keep doing the things you have been doing and everything will work out. I have faith in you. Keep your heads focused and let her rip. Win or lose, Rice will be open. They do not host a Super Regional this year. Win and they will go to Baton Rouge. Brazoswood/Pearland are playing at U of H on Thursday and Saturday. I was told that Brenham considers U of H our home field since we have won there. I figured it was open if it was considered at all. My sources said they were waiting to see if Rice wins or loses.
