  1. I saw it live. He broke his left hand coming back down. He slightly overshot his landing, but a broken hand is nothing to him.
  2. You would have to admit playing for a USC, Bama, Penn St., S. Carolina, Michigan(before Carr left) got the average player ready for the pros better due to the offenses and defense ran there. Plus, some of those school mentioned have ex-NFL coaches that know how to prepare their kids for the next level. They tend not to fall for the latest Spread/Nickle D gimmick that is pervasive in college ball.... Looks like the spread-o of Utah manhandled Bama pretty well. You have to be anything but a sissy to do that. If you're good enough, it doesn't matter if you ran a spread offense, NFL scouts will still see the potential and use you appropriately
  3. Didn't TW already have FOXHD (Sunday football). It seemed like it was in the 860's-870's. Yes, I have Fox HD on 870 (lower cable channel 11). Fox Sports HD is on 871. The there is a Fox Sports Southwest on lower cable channel 26 (Astros), which has its HD channel on 894, but it doesn't always have something on. Hey, I have it and it's confusing to me. I think everything should be HD. My TV hates the lower channels.
  4. If you are really good and can play well at the next level, the scouts find you. It doesn't matter where you play. High profile teams give you TV exposure, but like I said, scouts are everywhere. Texas fields many NFL players every year. Competition is what it's all about anyway, so wherever you go, you will have to beat out somebody. TT....I'm sure Harrell and Crabtree both will make it plus some of their linemen.
  5. They gotta come knocking before you can turn them down. :
  6. TW just added channel 871 HD Fox.
  7. Don't say stuff like that. Nederland always has a chance with the coaching they have. Thank you. We also lost by 2 points (32-30) in 2004 due to 2 missed extra points.
  8. What the heck happened in 2001-02-03? (should have been 2000 also)...Not a chance? Just say you think your team will win.
  9. If the Orange Bowl is on Fox cable channel 2 is what is advertising it right now. Cable channel 14 is coming in with NBC ads, and Fox is on cable channel 2. The Orange Bowl will be shown according to my TV. My TV guide at the bottom of the screen, telling me what channel I am on when I change channels, is still wrong, but the programming is changed already, if that makes sense.
  10. "Who's wine? What wine? Where the H**l did I dine? Must of been a dream, C'mon let's do it again......" "Do you feel like I do?" I'm gonna take Peter Frampton's advice and do it again. There! I just popped open the first one!!! [move]Happy New Year[/move] How about the part...."I don't believe where I've been".... Was that left out intentionally? :
  11. OK, I'll bite. What's the big deal aboout which channel NBC and Fox have as cable channels. NBC was 02, Fox was 11. Now NBC will be 14 and Fox will be 02. Can anybody explain this mess? I'm not a stupid person, but I really don't see a difference besides a number.
  12. Have you tried rebooting your cable box? It may or may not help. I live in Nederland and mine is working fine for now.
  13. (Boldface above^^) That would have been my question. The only qualifications a coach needs is to be able to install a system from middle school on up and most importantly, he has to sell the kids and be involved at every level. If the kids aren't buying into it (great coaches can motivate kids to give 110%), it won't be successful no matter what degree a coach possesses. Good luck to PNG on finding a good coach.
  14. I'd like one date with Christina Aguilera. I'd have her throwing rocks at her husband after that. ;D I wish all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Let's ''spend'' our way out of this recesson. My wife is doing her part. :
  15. Most snow I've seen around here since the early 60s. Oops, I keep telling my age.
  16. That's what I thought. Still don't understand. Hope it doesn't come back to haunt them.
  17. How can this happen and what's the score? Thanks Musgrove recovered his own fumble.....21-14 Muleshoe Wow, what a misread on my part. I'll leave you alone now. You're doing fine without my interfering.
  18. How can this happen and what's the score? Thanks
  19. Mizzou will win and it will be Texas vs. Florida C'mon Jags.
  20. Thanks, I always watch the clock in the 2nd half, even in the 3rd qtr.
  21. I think Central can move the ball on Friendswood, but they must score TDs. FGs will not do it. On defense, it is paramount that Central get pressure on their QB. He is a good one indeed.
  22. Wonder why nederland hasn't played in front of such large crowds??? I think the Dayton Broncos know 63 reasons why In the 2004 playoffs, Nederland had 49 reasons by halftime. Not much of a crowd for Dayton after the 3rd qtr.....and we pulled our starters. ;D
  23. Port Neches, Texas is 6 miles N of Port Arthur, Texas (center to center) and 85 miles E of Houston, Texas. It is in Jefferson county. The city is part of the Beaumont - Port Arthur metro area.
