You like that? I'm full of sarcasm. Some people say full of something else, but what do they know? ;D

Is it bigger than LCM's? ;D The UIL should have some type of ruling about seating on the visitor's side. 4a seating should have a minimum. Our Bulldog stadium, you can have reserve seating on the visitors side and the stands are the same size as the home side. Teams should want visitors to be comfortable. Nederland fans really buy concessions, programs, and split the pots.

Nederland’s Forney has fracture in hand

Our run game can bail out any QB. Dionte only threw 9 times against LCM. He did have some huge runs though, especially getting 1st downs. I think the Dogs will be OK. Injuries are part of football and we just have to line up, like dawgnut said. The wild dog for a change of pace? Sonnier can QB so I don't see why he can't run the same basic run plays pass the ball, and then throw in a wild dog. The defense really wouldn't know what to expect. I have no problem with who they put in there. -
Nederland stepped up and took care of business and earned their place in the playoffs. LCM had their shot and failed to step up even through their injury problems. Nederland played very well and as usual rebounded from their own adversities this year. I find it funny though that Nederland of all teams (posters) can not relate with a QB injury. ;) Now, LCM has lost to Central, PNG and Nederland and I have kept up with posts of each loss and its easy to say that Nederland posters have been the least gracious in their victory. :'( Regardless, I hope you go deep in the playoffs and you deserve to be there.
Well, I don't know who made you the sole judge of what is gracious or not. I simply told the truth without any sarcasm. Nederland's QB woes had ours out for the season or several games. When you get down to your fourth string QB and are able to still make the playoffs without your starter, then I can relate. Any QB anywhere, who can throw for 300 yards, is not hurt IMO. Even if he ran for his 60+ yard average, I'd spot you another TD and you still don't win. LCM fans also said that we didn't see their best game. If a team hasn't been in the playoffs for 13 years and it comes down to playing for your playoff lives and you can't play your ''best game'', then you don't deserve to go. I will be more gracious when I see some posts that give Nederland more credit for the win than trying to get sympathy for their injuries. We play through our injuries. We stopped you run game without our starting LB, who will be back next week. It's called depth, and some teams have it. We have coaches who can coach a sub to play at starting level.

From what I have read, LCM did all of this to themselves. I was at the game and Nederland played lights out on defense against the run (14-19). There were at least 3 dropped INTs that could have made the score even worse. Also could have had a couple intentional groundings that weren't called that could have stalled drives and forced punts. Gonzales was 29-47-1 for 300 yds.......not bad for an injured QB, so let's not go there. Nederland outplayed LCM on both sides of the ball, almost mistake free, and kept it going in the 2nd half. LCM needs to look at their district schedule and see who their wins were against and who gave them their losses. Their lone win against a playoff team was Livingston. Tried hard to keep this ''classy'' while still telling the truth. Nederland has played with their backs against the wall for three weeks now since the Central loss, and they weren't going to be denied. Go Dogs!! and 20-4A

Will Gonzales play against nederland Friday?
baddog replied to a topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Of course it's up to the coaches, but my son's friend plays for LCM and he says that Gonzales is playing. Game-time decisions are a psychological ploy. If he doesn't feel like playing now, 3 hours ain't going to make much difference. ;D I hope he plays and we have a really good game. Good luck to both teams. -
Hasn't he been playing with a soft cast?
In regards to the LCM program, no doubt this is a large and very talented senior class, and they will be missed. These seniors have a lot to be proud of. but.... The program is not going to have a big drop off. The JV and freshman are both 6-3 and have lost some close games, but the biggest factor is that they are buying in to the program and will get better. Starters returning next year: Offense Everyone returns on the oline except the Left Tackle . Have 3or 4 recievers back, losing a great one. 2 of the 3 RB's that rotate are back including the fastest one. And of Course the QB is gone. Defense is returning 1 Tackle, 1 End, All Linebackers and 2 Secondary, a little harder hit than the offense in numbers. So don't expect a return to the pre-Crouch days when LCM was a patsy. They will be even more hardnosed, and disciplined after another year in the program. How that affects the W/L record is conjecture, how it affects the play of the Bears will be a result of the off-season and dedication to the program.
Good to see your underclassmen are playing well. That's a huge positive for next year. I personally don't judge how our varsity will play by the JV or freshman teams. It's nice to see the talent and know who the playmakers are, and it can be measured somewhat, but win/loss at that stage does not transfer to varsity. Varsity is a whole 'nother animal. Good luck Friday night.

Is my Norton blocking it? I don't see what you are talking about.

LCM @ Nederland / Predictions
baddog replied to adminbaberuth's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
If either team is afraid of the other, they shouldn't even take the field. How ridiculous to insenuate that anyone is afraid. Nederland has been in several nail-biters this season, losing a couple and winning the last one. I expect this game to be about the same. I will be there pulling for my Dogs. Good luck to both team. Don't be afraid now, ya hear? ;D -

Nederland 41 Ozen 35 Final/comments
Not really... Ozen's running game is Not good at all... No credit to the Bulldog defense.. Ozen's strength is passing...
Ozen's strength may be their passing, but that short RB had me on the edge of my seat several times. He's hard to see, fast, and difficult to bring down. Plus, if a team concentrated too much on the passing, it could spring him for lots of yards. ozen running some draw plays could be huge for them. I don't recall seeing one ran. -

There is another thread asking who is the best QB in SETEX and I said Doty is the best I've seen, which was true at that time. No offense Doty, you are still great, but Green for Ozen is unbelievable. I feel very fortunate to come away with a win last night. Even with a 6 point lead and Ozen only having 19 seconds, we weren't comfortable knowing how quickly Ozen could score. #7 for Ozen is an amazing receiver. like someone already said, it's hard to believe they aren't doing better in district. What a game. My heart can't take many more like that. ;D On a side note: Please advise me next time it is karaoke night. I'll do my James Brown imitation. ;D -
SGgt. Rey. I don't know you, but after that post I have the utmost respect for you and anyone who can overcome that situation. You set a great example, not only for your kids, but for the community as a whole. Thanks.

Wow, our DC has been bashed for weeks now, and not so much as a warning. I guess because he has ''free speech'' in his corner.
The Panthers have nothing to lose by going all out against Nederland. If they don't do some things differently in this contest to earn a victory. It will only clarify why Ozen is winless in 20 -4A ! Ozen - 35 Ned - 21
I wasn't aware that they were holding back. ;D I'll take my Dogs in another nail-biter.

I bet this is the first time that two teams took the field simultaneously and their cheering drowned the other out. ::) It happens all the time. Good game Dogs.
Well Central dropped to 4A and didn't let MC schools run roughshot over them. Just comparing coaching records. Brooks by a wide margin was best. Just couldn't deal with the high expectations from the Pear.....
Mid County is the measuring stick....gotta love it. How many 5A schools drop in classification and let 4A schools run roughshot over them? Please enlighten me on that statement. Shouldn't all Beaumont schools be 5A with the magnet tag? You change athletes like people change their underwear. ;D
