Fla. coaches believe teen is really 22.....BUSTED
baddog replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I heard that since he was parading as a 16 year old, he had an affair with a 15 year old girl. Morally wrong, but not illegal if he was really 16.....oops! Add-on.....in today's PA News, he is facing sexual assault charges for having a relationship with a 15 year old girl. He's been arrested 3 times in the past 4 days. -
Hardest thing in the world is to lose a child. My prayers are with her family.

*Nederland vs. GCM Playoff Series....DOGS ADVANCE!!!!!!!!*
baddog replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
5 Ks in 3 innings....gotta love it. Go Dogs! -
I think a one game playoff is stupid. Especially in baseball. It should not be an option. I don't know enough about Crosby to predict what might have happened in a 3 game series. So, my comments don't really have to do with this match-up other than to feel for Vidor or any other team that loses in a one game playoff.
LCM used to have a player by the name of Beau Hale and they would play you a one game playoff game anytime. ;D Sorry about your loss Vidor. Keep your heads up and regroup.

The Houston Astros have now won one game in a row. They are on their way to taking over 1st place in their division. ;D

Nederland vs Goose Creek Memorial (2 out of 3)
baddog replied to adminbaberuth's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Even though Bellow is our #1, Laird is undefeated, so our coach has the luxury of pitching Laird first and pitching Bellow to win....hopefully. It really doesn't matter to me who pitches the 1st game. Let's not forget our offense. Nederland's bats will win it for whoever is pitching. Good luck to both teams. -

Lots of great teams in this district. Nederland really earned this one. -

Woods: 'I've done some pretty bad things'
baddog replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Wow, that's all you got from my post? I broke yours down and answered everything to the best of my ability. You tried comparing Tiger to JFK, and I showed you that, no matter how ''great'' JFK was as president, the thing you remember most is his affair with Marilyn Monroe. So, I guess your reasoning is that, if JFK did it, why not Tiger? Man, where does that stop? No one has said that a one night stand isn't cheating. I was trying to show that Tiger didn't have a ''moment of weakness'', which can be for given and corrected, he was bedding everything in sight...porn stars, whores, waitresses, call girls, you name it.....and paying high dollar for it too. When did paying for sex become legal? If I try to pick up a street walker for money, and she happens to be a cop, I go to jail for solicitation. These women have openly admitted that Tiger payed them for sex, and nothing happens to him. Why....because he's Tiger Woods? I guess I don't place my athletes, or anyone else, above the law. Of course it's more of a media selling point because it's Tiger, but that doesn't make me more forgiving just because it is him. I have to work with a man who brags about cheating on his wife. It makes me sick. -
A man goes to his doctor for a complete check-up. He hasn't been feeling well and wants to find out if he's ill. After the check-up the doctor comes out with the results of the examination. "I'm afraid I have some bad news. You're dying and you don't have much time," the doctor says. "Oh no, that's terrible. How long have I got?" the man asks. "Ten..." says the doctor. "Ten? Ten what? Months? Weeks? What?!" says the man. The doctor says, "Ten, nine, eight, seven..."

A man with a gun goes into a bank and demands their money. Once he is given the money, he turns to a customer and asks, "Did you see me rob this bank?" The man replied, "Yes sir, I did." The robber then shot him, killing him instantly. He then turned to a couple standing next in line and asks, "Did you see me rob this bank?" The woman replied, "No sir, I didn't, but my husband did."

Although velocity is a great thing to have and impresses the guys with the radar guns, control, changing speeds, movement on your fastball, hitting your spots, and ERA impress me more. It's what makes a pitcher effective. Both Nederland starters are blessed with all of these abilities.

Foul or no foul, he wouldn't have won anyway. This infraction (I agree is stupid) did not keep him from winning.
Heck Yes! 12/12 at the stripe and 12/14 from the field. Does anyone appreciate professional basketball on this forum?
I still tune in, but the game has evolved into refereeing ''degrees'' of fouls. Basketball used to be a non-contact sport where one of the objects was to try and stop your opponent from scoring without fouling him. Now it has come down to the ''cheap'', ''intentional'', and ''flagrant'' fouls. PLus they added a 6th foul so there are more to give, and players stay in longer. These guys today couldn't play by the old rules. They'd all foul out.

Jim Furyk.....the 5th ranked player in the world, gets his second victory of the young season today, but I pick him to win the Masters and he doesn't even make the cut. In fact, he wasn't even close. That's not bad picking on my part, that's just golf. ::)

Great pitching from the Horns recording two shutouts in this series. Horn's bats seem to be alive and well too. We will be discussing Kirby Bellow on this forum this time next year. Hook 'Em!
