  1. How about Todd Dodge? Art Briles? Substantial pay cuts but think of the kids.
  2. I think what we have here is someone wanting Jerry Jones and Co. to exhibit a sense of loyalty towards Romo when in fact, it is the NFLPA that took away loyalty years ago. I have always been a Romo fan and took up for him when others said he was no good.....he hadn't won anything. Been through that, and now I see a young QB who can make all the throws, can scramble, and doesn't force the ball into coverage, who has his team atop the NFC. There comes a time in any athlete's life where someone younger is going to come along and take their place.....sometimes sooner than expected, which is the case for Romo. I believe Romo should stay with the Boys if it is economically possible. Should he go to a team like the Jets, he would get killed and his career would be over. I still like Romo and thought he played fine yesterday. Later in the game, had he been in there and taken the hits Sanchez did, it would have been over. I know the subs were in there, but that's what we were playing all game long. Don't think I am anti-Romo, just being realistic.
  3. You are not a newbie. Can't place you just yet, but newbies don't jump into all the conversations you have and argue the same points without having been on this forum before. It has been done before, espcially with people who have been banned.
  4. Thoroughly enjoyed that. I don't do Facebook but my wife does. She says this forum is my facebook. When the best way to get someone's attention, who is in the same room as you, is to text them, something is very, very wrong.
  5. I tow no line. I speak from my heart. No one is perfect and neither is any ideology. I have conservative thoughts basically because they fall in line with how old truly feel. Healthcare is a huge issue and mine was fine until Obamacare came along. I don't like paying people's way who are able bodied but just refuse to work. That's a tough one for me, especially when some of the funds are stolen from medicare and social security, paid in by hard working people who expect that money to be around for their golden years. I could go one but those are huge. Here is one I have a problem with that no one cares to answer....What should be done to the Clintons for flying the Lolita to Orgy Island to have sex with minors? Just the thought of them remotely considering doing such things make me sick. What say ye?
  6. We are just peons. I'm talking about our government officials being for sale. You and me and the good people of this country don't have a price. Our freedom is priceless and others should follow suit.
  7. Should we bring up Noriega? This country has been for sale for years. They should all be taken out and shot in the head.....or like Duerte....chunk them out of a chopper.
  8. ....actually, there are many more and they are on the money.....and yes, Dak has scored and made first downs where Romo would have been sacked or worse...this one is 40 yards....
  9. ....and a 41 yarder... [Hidden Content]
  10. Here is a 50 yarder on the money... [Hidden Content]
  11. How can one be a centrist when their entire debate/argument is with all the conservatives on this board? The fact is that you should be considered a lefty, which I have no problem with, just don't see the center. Throwing out the phrase "both sides are guilty" every now and then does not a centrist make. You started out well, but when we go to rehashing Zimmerman, Michael Brown, gun control, and I see your stance, it is way off center. Sorry, just my take.
  12. What the educated gun owners are saying is that these murders could not have been prevented if assault rifles were banned. The educated already know the mass murders and the guns used.
  13. I mentioned your comparison of the AR to a semi-auto handgun in an earlier post. It was where I said Dylann Roof used a .45 ACP.
  14. You missed me with the Bin Laden comment. I agree that heroin is making a huge comeback but I believe that the gangs deal crack more than the others. I have no stats to back that up. Not sure there are any.
  15. Back on gun control....it is painfully obvious that gun bans do nothing to deter gun violence. Since Chicago seems to be the best to substantiate this fact and most of the murders are committed by the gang bangers protecting their drug distribution, why isn't there more of a concerted effort against the drug lords? We never hear of any huge drug busts there. Crack cocaine is the scourge of the nation, not guns.
  16. Thank you. It is not a gun problem, it is a societal problem. Elliot Ness was said to have let the herds be thinned. Chicago has always been the gangster capital of the world.
  17. I am still a Romo fan. He looked very sharp today. Do you think he would have the Cowboys at 13-3? I don't.
  18. How about no guns for Chicago? Oh wait, it's already that way. To me, this is the most substantive proof that banning guns does absolutely nothing to curb crime or gun violence. [Hidden Content]
  19. Sanchez is terrible. Weeden and Cassell were better than him. Philly beat a bunch of subs. I guess that can make you happy simply because it was the Cowboys and that's the way it will go down in history. Cowboys....#1 seed in the NFC with a 13-3 record. What an improvement over 4-12. Now I have to go two weeks without getting to see them play. Oh well, such is the price of success.
  20. Dylann Roof used a Glock .45. Also, allowing guns to start being banned could create a "domino effect"...."a foot in the door scenario"....."give them an inch and they will take a mile". This is the bigger fear. tvc had a post a while back about the conceal-ability of a handgun vs. the dreaded AR. It made perfect sense as to mobility, reaload frequency, extra magazine capability. Why lug around an AR when a semi-auto handgun makes more sense? Gun ownership is an expression of freedom as it is guaranteed by the 2nd amendment. There is more to citizens owning guns that simply hunting or home protection.
  21. I see your point and agree. I also think it has a lot to do with military experience since birth. Jews have been persecuted since recorded history began. Thay know a little bit about fighting. They are also not eaten up with the PC attitude. They will live peacfully with their neighbors, but aren't afraid to offend them.
  22. I don't love the Russians. They have the right to have diplomats in our country just as we in theirs. Just pointing out the irony of Obama's deportation reasoning, especially in a "sanctuary" city.
  23. I think Obama's timing is impeccable.
  24. I think the U.S. should tell the U.N. that they need to find another country in which to have their Global Government meetings.
  25. Man, my feeble mind will have a problem keeping up with the likes of you, Englebert, TVC, Nash, Reb, and more. As Englebert stated, it is refreshing to hear someone explain the lefty views without posting an article from Huffington. I'll leave it at that for now. Welcome to Texas. You must have arrived sometime right after Rita. It was a mess too. At the risk of sounding prejudiced, which I am about this state, there is no better place to live.
