1. ugh...  count me out.  The only time I can catch a bass is in the Spring,  when they are shallow... and suicidal.
 2.

If you have a small aluminum boat there used to be one in south county called Spindletop bayou that had some really good bass/crappie and blue gill fishing. You had to have a smaller aluminum boat to pull over a set of rollers.I haven't heard anything about it in several years but it was really good years ago.
I used to fish there.  Caught my only 10 lb bass in that lake.  Heard the salt water wiped it out during Ike.
Spindletop Bass Club.  AWESOME place...until Ike.  Westend1 is right about the saltwater.  I think that they were going to try to "re-build",  but so far,  all of my phone calls to the manager have gone unanswered.  I'm pretty sure that it's toast now.
 3.
Try out the new boat June twenty third at the posters fishing tournament!
I've been  "trying it out" every moment I get. Is this a bass tourney?
 4.
County Farm n Ranch has some great deals on both...See Justin Hawkins...
That's where I bought the new boat.  I just wish I could get it!
 5. Who has the AlumaCraft around here?
 6. And that canal that comes out of BH,  right where it meets the river, can be awesome for trout on an out-going tide...but mainly in the Fall.
 7.
Ive been thinking about a new boat lately.  What did you get?
After MONTHS of consideration (and shopping) I decided on the Lowe, 17' aluminum.  It's similar to the style that I have now, but longer & wider w/ TONS of storage.  I think I'm gonna like it a lot.  70 hp 4 stroke.
 8. Well,  my Suzuki died and, well,  we had already been talking about getting a little bigger boat,  so I boat a new one the other day.  Haven't gotten it yet,  waiting on the motor to come in.  I decided to get another Suzuki,  although I was pissed that my 12 yr. old got water in places that aren't supposed to have water in them.  I just loved that motor and the performance.  Hard to get something else. Now, I need to do some fishin'!

 10. So,  what's the latest on the "Turf Wars"?
 11. I heard that Jayce Nelson's signing with Lamar tomorrow at 1pm.
 12. Ya don't want me.  Hell,  I'm so old, I can't even keep score for ya!  [img][Hidden Content]]
 13. I'm too damned old play football!  LOL.  Need a score keeper? I remember the band playing each other back in the day. That was a lot of fun!
 14. My mother-in -law went swimming recently....  Hmmmmm.
 15. I had a 23' Aquasport,  hard top, radar, outriggers,  Suzuki 235.  Suzuki  4 stroke is an incredible, dependable motor,  very quiet,  good on fuel.  The boat, was ok.,  but it seemed to list a lot and you had to be careful on the weight placement.  Seems I was always tinkering w/ trim tabs when someone moved around in the boat. I also used to have a 20' Proline.  It was one of the best boats I ever owned.  I could run 50 miles offshore and back and burn 50 gallons.  Man,  I miss that boat.  Good dry ride too.
 16.
I didn't read the entire board, so someone may have said something like this already. Does anyone remember PNG-Central brawl? The year that happened, PNG had a ton of seniors and had a rough year... Would punishing PNG the next season be a righteous punishment? Not at all! Most of the fighters were seniors (general statement because the team was mostly seniors). They didn't care. My point is that you can't ruin the next season for the juniors, sophomores, and freshman who had absolutely no part in this fight. That's why the coaches are left with the punishment. If there is film on the fight, you can punish individual players, but you can't punish the entire program, a good chunk of both teams will be new next year.
You see it happen in colleges all the time.  A school would be barred from the playoffs (Bowl Games) for X # of yrs.  Yes, you're punishing kids that may not have been involved,  but the main purpose, IMO, is to straighten the coaches out.    Because, ultimately,  discipline comes from the coaches and is instilled in to the players.
Maybe he was comparing him to the Ned WRs who made it?
Thats what I was thinking....he was comparing him to his own teamates.
Now that would make sense. My mistake.
Dont bite me PNG proud! Sorry I did not clarify myself. And yes I was talkin about the bunch as in Nederland. My apologies. LOL
No biting here 59.... I'll leave that to the dogs!  LOL

 21. You can bet that LM will handle this issue...."In House".  You know, like...uh,  ok all you guys that were involved...go run 2 laps!  Shame on you! There is    N O  W A Y  that LM is going to pull key players before this biggest game of the yr.  The fans would have the coaches heads,  so, their hands are tied.  That's just the society that we live in today.  And I'm not sure that any person can say with any certainty that their school would handle it any different if in the same shoes.
 22. No real team mate is going to quietly stand by and watch his team mate get beat up.  That's why brawls happen.  So to say that both sides are at fault may not be totally accurate.  The true blame rests on the shoulders of those that threw the first punches,  not necessarily those that defend their team mates. I'm not saying which team is truly at fault, because I wasn't there, and I don't necessarily believe a reporter from the same region.  But IMO,  the one that took the first swing is at fault.
 23. Holy Cow!  a 98 yard drive in less than 2 minutes?  Sounds like they're getting tired now.
