I'd say he's done an excellant job and you also have to praise the staff for getting him ready to play when no one expected him to. He has done a tremendous job and has utilized his talent around him very well. Also, you have to praise his teammates. It is not often that a Soph is realized as a team leader on a senior laden team. I actually think he is the intangible that made this unit a team. I like the way he makes smart decisions on the field.

I do know the answer and yea I'm not saying,its gonna be a fun friday!!

I think I know the answer but so much fun not to tell. Should be a great ballgame. One thing HJ did prove in their game with the Leopards, they are beatable. Shame one has to go home, I don't think it will be us.

HJ proved it, Giddings proved it, Caldwell proved it... problem is, none of them did. We must.

LaGrange is a good team. They made adjustments the whole game. They were very disciplined on defense... They did not pack the box with 10 or 11 players like everyone else has done, they changed their stunts and made the d look the same every play... I couldn't tell if we made any adjustments... Not griping, just didn't see any... I'm proud of our boys, they played 4 full quarters of intense football.... LaGrange hung with it, capitalized on our few mistakes, and got the win... Congrats, my hats off to you guys, you will have your hands full with WOS. WOS fans, don't think because you beat us, and we stayed with them that it will be a cake walk..... These coaches and players are very disciplined... They will find a weakness sooner or later.... Hopefully for WOS, it will be later... Good luck!

Great game WO-S,  you got it done as I knew yall would.  Been reading thru this thread and find some of the posts quite funny, which sometimes happens especially after the fact.  What happened to this mouse dude and cougar2000whatever?  The word on the street is they moved to the part of Texas that has the most caves. These guys are some interesting units and they virtually rewrote the definition of eating crow, yes they've graduated to eating Pterodactyl.  Enjoy the feast guys, your remarkable fiction has earned it.

La Grange can run the ball really well. But if WO-S can force them to throw it, the game definitely tilts in the Mustangs' favor. La Grange's defense is fast but nothing that WO-S hasn't seen or even practiced against themselves.

Brought my boys to watch this game and pull for the Stangs. Total domination by WOS. Great win. Pulling for ya'll from the Hill.

Amen. That's why bedelmon doesn't bother me. He is enthusiastic about his Hawks and gets a little carried away at times. But he's not like these other guys who just come on here to rip on every team from our area. I guess they get their kicks doing it. Sad existence to me...

I can tell you that for these big men to go thru the two a days in August, they have to love what they do. Climbing the stadium steps and conditioning drills are tough on them. I admire you guys, for your the engine and the soul of the team.

Since playoffs Bedelmon hasn't even been close. I think the mouse takes it but I like his presense. Someone has got to unite all the HJ and WOS posters who have spent the year hating on each other. Haha

You nailed it Gas.Champions don't play like this.You do this in the late rounds and you are toast.

I agree with the Carthage game, that one play may have cost us a state championship. It takes not only skill to win state championships, it takes a little luck also. It takes great players making great plays at crunch time. I was at the Ennis game in 2000. I was sitting in the stands knowing which play they were going to run. We just didn't adjust until halftime. We dominated the second half and dang near pulled that one out. Very easily a game we could have won. I think kids being kids (and even the pros do this) sometimes they come out with a lack of intensity or focus. Navasota and Wimberly were just better than us, some others we just came out flat.

Same can be said of LaMarky Mark..do they measure up to the ghosts of their past or is this years team just a product of an easy district and nowhere near what they are thinking they are. Truth be known, the Mice don't know and those butterflies that are floating around in their players stomach are getting worse the closer to game time. They know they will discover the truth against WOS one way or the other. I would not call three rounds deep mediocre, although, with the number of teams in the playoffs right now I might give you the first two rounds.

That's what I was getting at Kicker.We have done pretty good for the number of kids that come out and play.Going 3,4 rounds deep for years says you have a good program regardless weather you make it to state.We have just ran into teams that were better than us and that ain't no reason to hang your head.
