Well guard Tamauzia Brown is averaging 21 a game, Josh Foster is averaging 19 a game, they have a freshman James Sylvester who is an animal in the paint. Newton has size, speed, and have a bunch of good shooters on the team 

How did this go from a Newton vs Kountze thread to and all time Buna vs Kountze game thread to now talking about LaMarque enrollment numbers 

I guess they didn't want to play in Evadale or Buna

Newton is not bad this season have a good group of young talent in the 10th grade class mixed with good juniors and a couple seniors who have played for the varsity for a couple years now. They also have a freshman big kid who is a force in the paint on defense. Should be a lot of athletes on the court Friday night. I will be there to watch for sure.

I don't know our powerlifting team goes to state every year. Our track teams make it state every year. Our girls golf team is really good and make it to regional tournament and some of the team goes to state. We have some good coaches in Newton, it was just an observation. Congrats to all the winners this year though

Dang no love for the Newton Eagle coaches this year.

Newton defense was outstanding again tonight held Frankston to -24 yards of total offense and forced 3 turnovers.

This was a boring game. Newton scored on 6 or 7 possessions in first half should of been all 9 had ball 1st and goal from 7 and didn't get in for some unknown reason. Played every kid on the roster during a running second half clock.
