But if I was coaching them, ID be saying the defense played well but the offense needs work especially in the passing game. I believe they need to throw it more. I personally would have thrown it much more throughout the season when they where blowing teams out. Seems like every time the game gets close Newton resorts to 1970 tactics and predictably run it every play.
Newton throws the ball a lot more than they ever have in history. Have you even watched them this year?

Newton is well coached, always has been, but the lack of discipline they play with is bothersome this late in the playoffs.
What lack of discipline are you talking about? Because they get penalties that makes them undisciplined?

Newton will be just fine. Folks need to relax with the Newton is undisciplined talk and stuff. It was one game against a really good team. They made the plays they needed to when they had to for the win. Newton is a great team and will be there until the end. Turnovers are apart of the game and they happen sometimes. Newton has a very very good defense and that is what will help Newton bring home that 4th state title.

That’s where it all starts in Jr High you set a good foundation to build on. We coach our jr high like our varsity that is why they are always good and are good when they get into high school.

Kirbyville will be fine , just a down year all small schools go through this. We are a young team with some pretty good talent. Those of you barking when does baseball start I’m sure Kirbyville will make up for football in baseball. Baseball program is loaded with talent and very young so I see lots of deep playoff runs over the next 4 years and with a little luck and good fortune maybe even a state title. Get all your laughs and kicks in on the football team this year and probably next but after that the boot returns to our foot.
We shall see. I'm going to check out the 7th grade today against Newton then we will see what kind of talent ya'll have coming up.

Newton is going to turn in somewhere between 295 to 300 from what I heard from some of the folks at the school.

I personally never said Newton could beat PNG, WB, or PAM all I said was I have seen Newton play every game this year and I have watched WOS play once and I think Newton is an overall better team and would beat them.

How do you know how good Newton is or isn't you haven't seen us play one game this year. Ask your coaches how good Newton is they will tell the truth they don't have on rose covered glasses

How bout them Newton Eagles just throwing the ball all over the place and still getting the rushing numbers. They are going to be hard to beat folks they throwing and running the ball like this.

If I was a coach I would think letting lineman run the ball on my team would be more disrespectful than what newton did last night with empty the bench and letting some of the lower skill kids run ball.

Keep your mouth shut if you don’t have a clue what’s going on. It got like that because of Crockett not because Newton wanted it too. Tried to run clock they said no, they kept passing over and over again. So Newton would get a pick or a fumble recovery. Kicked 2 FGs on 1st down. So shut up and worry about trying to win games in Kirbyville and don’t worry about the winners in Newton Tx

He is probably just trying to get a head start on games, its hard for Newton to get games to the earlier you start looking the better. A lot of teams already have a scheduled together more than you think do anyway.
