This is not meant to take anything at all from Barlow, he is an amazing rb (hence the 30+ DI scholarship offers) but i would like to know why Montavien is not as good of rb as Barlow? Remember Montavien is only a Jr and as a sophomore in limited playing time he was Jasper's second leading rusher.

Barlow is an every down back. He has the height, size, speed, vision. He can catch the ball out of backfield. He can pick up blitzes when need be. He can split out and catch the ball as a receiver. All I see with Hunt is the ability to run really fast. He is a good high school RB and he may when it’s all over be able to do many different things but right now no he is not on the same level as Barlow. This is the second game I’ve seen him play and granted one was a scrimmage against newton, which he had the one long TD run, but didn’t see him do anything else the rest of the time. When Barlow steps on the field you see him doing numerous things and he stands out on a field full of good players. Again Hunt is a good player but he is not yet on the same level as Barlow.

I was there and Kirbyville did score once. Kountze did get the upper hand by my gosh this team is 70% sophomores and some big kids at that with some in the skilled positions with good speed. Their JV look d pretty salty also was told that was all freshman and 3-4 sophomores. I will confirm this they may struggle this year but

This is the hidden content, please
out in about 2 years your looking at another 2008-2009 type team in my opinion.  Kountze better get ready to get hit in the mouth by those Bobcats

Ok, so I went to the JV game last night just to see if Kirbyville had anything for the future and  I didn't see anything that was impressive. Newton scored whenever they wanted with the 1st group. Kirbyville couldn't move the ball at all on the 1st defense of Newton. If that was supposed to be the future then Kirbyville must have a different standard of bright than Newton does. Good luck tonight is all I can say.

The old model didn't make nearly as much money as the new model. NRG, Alamodome, hasn't/won't make nearly as much money at AT&T. Drop the pipe dream. The games are where they will always be forevermore.

That is fine if they want to leave them there. I just wish they would let some of the smaller schools play in the Friday and Saturday time slots instead of having to play on Wed and Thursday

  6. I like the stadium and agree that it is nice and I'm sure the kids like the stadium, what I don't like is the fact that the smaller schools have to play earlier and they get less time to prepare for the game. I liked it when the schools got to pick where they played at or you could even switch up the days and let some of the smaller schools play on the Friday and Saturday time slots. It would be nice though if they moved it around in a rotation to different cities though.

  7. Week 1 Kirbyville

    Week 2 Silsbee

    Week 3 at WOS

I do more for the kids in the 409 then most coaches do.

ask the kids from Newton who got them their first offers. Ask the kids at Central who made all the phone calls when Toby left. Todd you must live a miserable life.

Sir you didn’t get anyone from Newton an offer. I see those coaches working day in and day out calling coaches and talking with them about their kids. Those kids got themselves offers by the way they handle their business on a daily basis. Never seen you at a game, practice, or anything. Newton kids have plenty of coaches who care about them they don’t need some stranger from out of town doing anything.

I agree with you and I find that unfortunate. It sounds to me this should be an individual award with consideration how the team did. It would be hard to give the award to an athlete that had tremendous numbers but team did not make the playoffs (but it should be possible). I think it's safe to say if you put RJ on Newton or WOS they are both state champions this year. Barlow is obviously a very good player, but I don't think he makes the PNG team better than they were with RJ.

Yeah well Newton won the state title this year and Johnson wasn’t on the team. Yes Barlow would of made PNG a lot better, ask your coach if he would like to have Barlow on the PNG roster he would take him in a heart beat.
