  1. Have not really looked at what everybody else has said to this point, but I am gonna go with a Lumberton win. I think those Lumberton boys are pumped and believe in themselves...in sports that's huge! Now add the fact that these young men are well coached, disciplined, gritty and play as a family...add it all up and that makes a tough football team that's hard to beat on talent alone. Opponents will have to match the desire and unity along with execution and toughness. Not trying to make those Lumberton boys seem better than they are but they are no push over. Best of luck Raiders go big guys!

  2. Buna is coming off back to back losses to the district's elite, they should be highly motivated to get back in the W column.  If the Cougars show up and play, they should win it. Make stupid mistakes, penalties and turnovers and it will be closer than expected. I'm open for a dinner wager Bone

    I bet you are! LOL

  3. This should be a great game both teams have gritty tough guys with heart, disciplined and they are well coached. This will come down to who wants it more...Pirates or Raiders...kinda ironic that that these to mascots are pretty much alike...one raides villages and plunders on land and usually has a dog. the other does it on the sea with a parrot and they both have eye patches and love Rum....I'm with ya on that last one! like I say Ironic since these teams seem to be so simular...best of luck to you both!

  4. On paper and by record I would not and did not put out any food bets on this game but that does not mean I am not pulling for the Lions...Buna is not the team they were last year and Kountze has struggled from the start...that being said, Buna is still probbably more than Kountze can handle and the outcome will most likely be a Buna win. One problem though...I just have a feeling The Lions may show up with a chip on their shoulder. Another thing, Kountze hates taking one on the chin to Buna. In addition its a chance to play spoiler...possible spoiler anyway.

  5. Quit raining on my parade, gents.

It's been since 2008, since we have been in the playoffs. It's so close, I can taste it.

That lost to Woodville hurt early in the district. Hope it's not the dagger that keeps us out.

I am gonna take the ride with you just because I want to feel good about something this season, I need to be inspired ...if it does not happen I am no worse off...so Kountze beats Buna and Hardin wins a stunner the next week and gets in the playoffs!

  6. Congrats on that VB DC...those young ladies obviously work hard and you have a great staff! As far as Upsets in Football if somebody wants to throw some Jenny's in I might go for it!...its food mission thing! Lol...how about this I would love to see Hardin spank K-ville and for at least 1 quarter Hardin will keep it close. K-Ville just has to much depth and skill for a Hardin or Kountze types to contain for very long. But I am pulling for ya!

  7. It's getting a little feisty in here lol I think this will be a good game. I believe Woodville will play better this week at home, in a do-or-die atmosphere. If both teams play a great game, Woodville should win this game. The problem lies in the fact that neither team had played a completely great game all season, with the exception of Woodville's win over New Waverly and Kountze over Warren. But come on now....

look I already have UTFan on a Mamma Jacks bet u ready to buy me some Elijah's...come on  man daddy needs some food!

  8. Kountze has the injury bug bad and Woodville doesn't. I think depth at the skilled positions and the play of Woodville's offensive line will come into play Friday night.

well they did loose the freshman RB but I think the Warren boy can step and I think he will step up...he has found a bit of rythem, Another injury was a Reciever / Ainsworth but if Kountze has depth it's at that position. The only other was a lineman ( which is where Kountze is not deep ) but Arnold is healthy and is that will be a big plus. Look Kountze has to do the right things to win but so does Woodville. Obviously Kountze has had more games where things did not go well than Woodville has had, but I also think Kountze has had a bigger mountain to climb. When Woodville stumbled it was against teams that the mistakes could be over come. Kountze has not had that with exception to Hardin and talk about shelled by injury! Wow...Kountze looked like lucky the dog coming into that game...three legs, one ear, one eye, and a broken tail! LMBO. Before anybody's head spins off...yes injuries are part of the game but it does not take a rocket scientist to realize that injuries are game changers. Woodville has made some very good strides and I was one of the first to get on the Woodville band wagon after watching them play early on...I even told Utfan that they were better and Kountze may have a much tougher game this year...No one needs to take this game lightly because this is do or die for Woodville and Kountze...I think both sides will come to play...can Kountze do it for 4 quarters??? Can Woodville play a clean game and handle Arnold??? We will see guys!

  9. Ok...time for the ole' Bone take on this game...If Kountze can throw the ball on Woodville plus have a bit of success with Jace Warren running the ball and then be disruptive to that Slot T offense defensively and cause turn overs...turn overs by poor ball handling and transfer to be exact....than Kountze wins because Woodville does not seem to handle a passing game very well and on top of that Woodville is a run heavy offense with little confidence in the passing game...if it's different take me to school. Kountze fails to disrupt the offensive timing than Woodville will methodically march down the field and score with CLOCK CONTROL...that will force Kountze have play the match game and not make mistakes and that has been an issue especially in the second half of games. So pulling for the Lions with a lot of moving parts to get right but nevertheless pulling for them to win 31 to  28
