Great throw by Cantù! When he’s accurate, BH is tough on offense. Impressive running game

Deer Park isn’t good at all. BH special teams and QB play is killing BH. This was my concern going into the season. Plenty of time to throw the ball. Settle down and make accurate throws. I bet DP has less than 100 yards of offense. They’re just as bad.

Deer Park by 17. I do like the scheduling of 6A teams in non district. Good experience for the kids before district.

Hightower beat Westfield 14-7 this week and hasn’t given up much points. Westfield by 21 points.

Might be closer than what y’all think. Have to remember, LP hasn’t played a home game in over a year due to their new stadium being built. They’re 0-2, but both losses to 6A programs, although not juggernaut programs, both games were competitive. I got PNG by a touchdown.

As a WB alum, WB about to get embarrassed by this 5A district. They might need to drop to 4A

True, I was impressed with #26 in the scrimmage. He’s a Sophomore. Doesn’t have break away speed, but has good vision and hits holes hard. This more like a scrimmage, the rest of the games should be solid competition.

I was told a ton of defensive starters sat out due injuries. Hopefully nothing big and be ready next week. I liked QB #2, a Sophomore and he can sling it. Needs to gain some weight, but he might be QB 1 before season is over. Stronger arm and more accurate, but small. QB 1 can run, but worried about the passing game. Small wideouts is concerning as well. Curious to see how it plays out. Go Eagles!

The kid is big and hard to bring down when he runs, but the question is if he’s improved on accuracy of passing. That’s going to be huge question mark along with decision making.

I think you’re splitting hairs. If a kid for instance doesn’t like the spring workouts for football while playing in season baseball and feels its detrimental to his future in baseball, then the kid and parent need to make a decision if playing football the next season is the right choice. I’m saying that decision is based on the kid and parent and who cares what the football coach thinks about the decision. No knock towards football coaches or any coach, that’s a decision between the kid and his family. It’s a hypothetical situation. Maybe I worded it wrong or you’re taking it the wrong way.
