I wouldn’t worry about making the trip honestly. BH is going to win. The only district team to match BH with pitching is Nederland. I wasn’t at the game that BH got blown out, but something weird must’ve happened because BH usually doesn’t lose like that.

District almost always goes through BH

They’re going to have win almost all remaining games and get finals of tournament to think about an at-large. When LU was in the WAC, Grand Canyon got an at-large after New Mexico St came out of nowhere to win conference tournament. Grand Canyon had a dang good resume that year. It can happen, but resume wise isn’t in their favor.

IMO, LU will have to win conference tournament. I don’t see the Southland getting an at-large bid.

I lived down there for close to 20 years, I’m aware of the demographics. PNG will stay under the D1 enrollment for the foreseeable future. The number may rise at HS 200-300, but so will the bottom number of 5A D1. Just don’t see it happening. It’s a good thing for PNG though. after looking, I will say they’re closer then what I thought.

With PNG being land locked, I don’t see them ever going up from 5A D2, which is their favor. Might get a couple more rings

I think Lamar in SLC is best spot for them honestly for all sports. Now, baseball, I would’ve loved to see them in the American or Sunbelt, but ….

Watched the LSU/SELA game the other night and it appeared the lighting around home plate and other areas was horrible. Never been there though.

McNeese made a deal with SLC when they thought about going WAC with others, but stayed SLC. SLC rewarded them with a bunch of years hosting the SLC tournament. Not sure when that deal is up. [Hidden Content]
