Clueless

I went and watched film on Lufkin that was available to watch, and it appears that they have a shifty, running back, speedy, and athletic wide receivers, and a big physical defensive line. This will be a true test for BH offensive line, and defensive backs. This should get us ready for the playoffs and the caliber of teams we would face 2nd round and beyond.

If BH can pass a little bit, it will be close. If BH can’t complete passes and is one dimensional on the ground, we could be in trouble. Rooting for the Eagles though.

Offensive playing calling is definitely a head scratcher. At some point coaches have to tell QB to keep the ball on the read option. It was open all night for huge yardage. I thought defense did good except for last 8 minutes of the game. I think they got tired. as mentioned in other posts, we gave DP the ball inside our 20 twice of muffed punt return and a snap over the punters head. We didn’t convert hardly any 3rd downs due to poor play calls and inaccurate passes. The D gave up 50, but 28 points were OT and two give me’s on botched plays. This game should’ve never been close. I would even say atleast 49-21 should’ve been the score. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Let’s see what the coaches can come up with.

Deer Park isn’t good at all. BH special teams and QB play is killing BH. This was my concern going into the season. Plenty of time to throw the ball. Settle down and make accurate throws. I bet DP has less than 100 yards of offense. They’re just as bad.

Deer Park by 17. I do like the scheduling of 6A teams in non district. Good experience for the kids before district.

Hightower beat Westfield 14-7 this week and hasn’t given up much points. Westfield by 21 points.

Might be closer than what y’all think. Have to remember, LP hasn’t played a home game in over a year due to their new stadium being built. They’re 0-2, but both losses to 6A programs, although not juggernaut programs, both games were competitive. I got PNG by a touchdown.

As a WB alum, WB about to get embarrassed by this 5A district. They might need to drop to 4A

True, I was impressed with #26 in the scrimmage. He’s a Sophomore. Doesn’t have break away speed, but has good vision and hits holes hard. This more like a scrimmage, the rest of the games should be solid competition.

QB Cantù has managed this game really well for his first varsity start
