#0 and #3 just rove around on defense. If you throw it up, they’re athletic enough to get it. Once #0 got hurt, it changed their defense imo. Lufkin defense is better.

I’ve seen them pulled before. It’s Texas Longhorns, so you’re probably right. Florida a couple years ago, Old Dominion are couple that come to mind in football. Baseball, which I’m told is one of the sports he’s going to Texas for, definitely doesn’t have a problem yanking scholarships for certain behavior.

Btw, hate to see BH QB get hurt and leave the game. The backup Sophomore QB played a heck of a game. A couple mishaps, which understandable with not having much varsity play, but the future is bright for that kid. Hopefully, starting QB is able to bounce back from whatever injury he has. Great time for bye week to get kids healthy.

If we put some speedsters in the secondary like maybe a Morton, we could slow ball down. Our front gets penetration, problem is after the ball is in the air. Ball is a lot like Lufkin, Lufkin had wideouts that out jumped and out muscled us on pass plays.

Need a good defensive plan to slow Ball offense down. This is a tough one for the Eagles

I think both teams have struggled recently on the offensive side, BH defense has been playing well. Should be a good game.

I got Lufkin in regional final if they can find consistent QB play.

This could be a trap game for BH. Coming off of a debacle of a loss at PAM could open the door for United. Hopefully BH gives a heavy dose of the ground and pound offense and the defense play’s assignment bend, but don’t break defense and not allow the speed on the outside to hurt them.

You guys are spot on about BH. My kids are grown, but hopefully for the younger generation, they change some things. I was told they have 5:30 am practices all year long. From what I’ve seen the last couple of years, I’m not sure how productive those early morning workouts are. It appears the boys aren’t retaining the information, soft workouts, or coaching quality isn’t there. Not sure which one, but scheduling soft 6A teams and beating them doesn’t make you 6A ready. Now saying that, all of our sports can compete at 6A level right now with exception of football unless we’re put in Pasadena district.
