Not as embarrassing if they didn’t have a running clock in the 4th. Actually, I don’t know if you call it embarrassing or not, you just got beat by a group of girls that dedicate and put work in to be better at there craft than you do. PNG for years has done that in Volleyball, if they ever make more of a shift in basketball they could be good there too. Mine dedicated herself to basketball for four years at PNG and she lead them to the playoffs the last two years and that was with only one other dedicating themselves. Got to put in the work and time to be that good and you should never let up to not “embarrass” a team because they didn’t work as hard.

Ahhh, so only get excited and play up to potential when it is a “tough” opponent???
Good thing you aren’t HJ coach. These girls should be showing up every game against every opponent like it is the state championship, that way when they do reach the State Championship they “Play like they have been there before”  Fans, parents and “Uncles” should be creating a state championship game environment every time they show up to watch, that way it’s not a new environment when they do get there. You don’t change your game or how your fans cheer based off of the opponent!

The program is reflected by the girls in it.  I am the coach.. and I worry about what involves our girls.  I will continue to do me..

Nice balanced scoring, you have been putting together a strong program for several years now. Just keep reloading and keep on teaching those girls. Much respect for you coach!

I spent four years trying to track down scores. I enjoyed my four years, but getting scores, whew! 😂 I wish this COVID crap would end so I could watch my kid play again. They are supposed to start play in January with no fans present and only 15 girls are allowed to travel.

Coach Babin’s son, Hayden, trains 6-7 days a week. He has trained at Houston Ballet Academy for three years and also competes independently for a few Houston area studios. He dances all over Texas and even gone to Los Angeles for an invite-only dance convention. He has thousands of followers on TikTok and Instagram. He is a gifted kid. His videos online are impressive.

Lady Hawks looked good in stretches!  Pretty Good up and down game with some good half court O as well.  Lady Hawks now 2-0 on the season.

It was bad enough with my son playing Tennis, I can only imagine the changes you guys are having to make on a daily basis. I actually feel so lost without basketball. I wish college basketball would hurry up
and start already.

I didn’t read this whole post or any recent post about Vidor, but I thought them moving down to 4A was going to produce a DC and a long playoff run? What happened?

Hands down, not a school gym, but the Nome Dome is my absolute favorite gym!

I was talking to a WOS parent last season and he said Coach would not let the boys shoot a 3pt shot unless it was in the corner, if they did shoot a 3pt shot from anywhere else he would immediately sub that player out of game.

Super proud of my girl getting Defensive MVP, she definitely earned it, when actually guarding the top players in the district 1 v 1 she would shut them down. Can’t wait to see her play in college. Trinity University was ranked as high as 11th in the polls, they won their conference and only lose one Senior. 
Congrats to the other PNG girls as well, the Seniors have laid the foundation, now it is time to start building. Two of the Freshman made 2nd team.
