I have to agree with you Maddog33. we have a good ball club, but really haven't played a more caliber team than you guys. We normally play WO-S in preseason but not this year, except for controlled scrimmage. So I am holding my breath right now until we get into the meat of the district. That will start with Vidor in about 3 games....

I didn't say that we beat anyone  basically meant the caliber of the teams WOS and Dayton compared to GCM and Silsbee .

I think Indians d is overrated haven't played not one quality team outside a mediocre silsbee team. Faircloth plays mediocre teams in pre season every year which does not help your team get prepared .taking nothing away from Indians I just think their d is overrated 

No one wants to play Wos. Most people worried bout wins and stats not getting better. Play em in pre season and learn from it. No way to practice against anything like them. At least if you play them, then you can look back when you have to face a great team. Its a no brainer. Wanna be the best, gotta beat the best

Vidor only hates us cause they can't be us. They have some good backs this year so I am anxious to see this game.  No telling who will start at an for us. Flip a coin. Hopefully we have Simmons back and laday. That way when we spank vidor, they can say it's cause of recruits

Remember this a kid that is being talked about by adults in our community. He already paid the ultimate price by not finishing with his friends. Mistakes are made by everyone. Unless you are perfect, you just need to be happy that his mistake didn't take away a sport he loves. His dad will defend him just like y'all would defend your kid. 

I'm sure many would like to hear the WHOLE story, but regardless of the particulars what really matters is a YOUNG man gets the opportunity at a second chance. He obviously has people in his life that care enough about him to make this happen. Good luck to him and his family and I hope he gets the chance to play at the next level. He is obviously talented enough.

My advice, wish him well and move on.  If his father does not want to discuss the particulars of what happened, we shouldn't speculate or imply anything.  If that continues the thread will be locked.

I don't any of the particulars of the situation, and unlike some I don't care to know. But let's just say you're right he had numerous chances.  The fact remains his FUTURE is ahead of him and whatever (happened) past tense is BEHIND him. So whether this is chance number two or twenty two he  has an opportunity to learn and grow from this. The discipline has been handed out, and the family has moved on. If some people are mad because the family didn't lay down, or not fight for their son oh well.  Keep hating and the kid will just keep playing. I'm off to another thread have a Blessed day.

Who said anything about CARING about people talking, as always talk is cheap. The question was WHY  does it seem like  some people  have a problem with the kid getting a second chance. It effects you HOW?

I feel confident to say most understand it's a discipline thing. The discipline has been handed out. The family has moved on. Now the kids gets a second chance. Some people seem like they don't want the kid to have a second chance. I Wonder why, that I don't understand.
