  1. Dang, congrats on a big district sweep 21-5a. Sounds like you got it all wrapped up. Gonna represent 225a at the title game also. But hey, anything can happen. That is why we play the game. I don't care who we draw first round. We may get beat, but you are gonna damn sure know we were there. I love the superior attitude. Reminds me of when yalls dist was not very good. I do have to say I liked it better then. Kinda sucks now but we will be there

  2. Jridge, I agree. With all the coaches, there are gonna be terrible ones. I know a bunch of them too. They should have thick skin and take criticism but they don't always do that. Coaches are just a representative slice of the overall population. Good, bad, fat, skinny, smart, stupid.  The list goes on. My deal will to try and have my kids adjust to deal with these kinds of people. Although I don't like it, it is life in the world. If you learn that earlier in life, you will end up better for it. And the coach is gonna have to answer if he wrongs a kid on purpose. May not answer in this world, but will answer nevertheless. If we can teach our kids to be successful in spite of the people around them, then they will be alright.

  3. Most people see this game and team from their kids perspective not the team. I feel this is a problem because all the kids read this. The coaches read it and don't care what everyone thinks. It's when the kids read it and know their parents and friends parents screen names. Chances are that the parent has bashed the coach at home way more than on the board. This causes the kid to not trust the coach. When this happens, the kids won't play hard for someone they don't trust. I'm not saying agree with every decision the coach makes, but use it as a tool to help your child. This old world is a cruel hard place to survive. If they get screwed over or lose a game because of the coach, there is a huge life lesson to learn in this. It is up to the parent to teach their kid that sometimes life isn't fair and yoi have to overcome that. It is easy to bash the coach or decision maker and call them stupid. What does that teach our kids. These coaches spend a lot of time preparing. The head coaches make pretty good money, but asst coaches don't. Parents need to be parents and raise their kids. I would hope that your child will grow up to be a better person when taught how to deal with adversity

  4. Who knows if we can win out. Only time will tell. Some on here that say we can't have already been spanked. I know it gets frustrating that every year is supposed to be the year that Vidor and ping and central are supposed to beat us and they don't. Gcm has the ability to beat us if they play a perfect game.  Lumberton and Lee can do it also. That is the beauty of having to play the game, to see who wins. Now for central Vidor and png, they will get over these hurt feelings and forget how bad it sucked to lose again and predict that Nederland will not win next year for some reason. I love that kind of talk. It amazes me that we have won district for god knows how long and we are still the underdog in some games. I think people are starting to realize that we may lose early, but starting the year 0-2 vs 2 good teams gets us ready for the dist we play in. I hope we win the last 3 and I fully expect to, but it felt good winning against the teams who thought they were gonna win this year

  5. I have seen these groups from png and nederland battle since 7th grade. It is always a fight except that 9th grade game I believe. I try to block it out. I know this is gonna make some people mad, but the horses are not there for png to be world beaters. Don't get me wrong, they are a solid setx football team. Very capable of winning district or finishing 2nd. They have some buzz saws sittin just west of the trinity waiting on the first round. It is a cycle people. You have a coach at png that is good to his kids and they love him. He make make some bad calls, but I promise some of you would not make the calls 100 percent of the time. Be careful what you wish for because you could run him off and get something much much worse. Any one remember Bobby august. Neumann is the top of the class in our district. No doubt about that, but be realistic, are you gonna win state every year?  It seems to me that yes that is the ultimate goal for all teams, but only 1 can do it. Support your team and see what happens. Parents that bash a coach to their kids create a hostile and untrusting attitude within the team you support. Fairclothe is not the only dist coach that Neumann owns. He is just at the top of the list this week

  6. First thing, it is hard to see any team lose when they played like png did tonight. I know it sucks to lose a rivalry game but they played hard. I was impressed with how png came back. Hats off to the dogs. They seem to always find a way to win. Fischer had some huge catches, but officials seemed to keep png in the game. It looked bad from my view. Maybe the replay will show it different. Good job dogs. Now go get you some of baytown lee

  8. This year was better than last year. We are small and don't have the so called horses we always have. The area teams smell blood in the water. First visor said its their year. Next up ozen is gonna beat us. Then mighty central. I have read the predictions and do understand that this must be a hard loss for the jaguar faithful. Y'all were sure there would be a win for y'all. I have to admit that I am always nervous playing fast teams. I think that foreman is a good coach. Plus he is good for the kids. He has lost 3 district games the last couple years. I call that a success. For those wanting a change, I hope y'all get it. And for only the excuse making, finger pointing, whining, crybaby fans, I hope this loss stings for a while. Good luck with ozen.

  9. This is a tough one to call since I didn't see Dayton play this year. They are both excellent teams with huge playoff potential this year. My gut feeling is that Crosby will pull it out. I feel like Crosby is on a mission this year. Not that I want my dogs to have to play either one of these teams again, just think Crosby gets it

  10. No.  West Brook had better players than us with a huge o-line...  We weathered the storm and lost by 3.  West Brook's coaching is below average.  Y'all have superior coaching with mediocre to below average players. And you win by 2 scores.  See how that balanced out?  Be lucky.  You could be like other teams with puss poor coaching.  And with the talent y'all have, y'all would get ran off the field every week.  Central's talent keeps us above water.  Sad to say, but....

mediocre to below average players. Just because we have a 5'4" 175 lb defensive lineman and a 5'5" 210 lb. our secondary was small, but we make up for it with our lack of speed and strength. For you to whine about me saying  your kids quit, you sure threw some junk our way with that statement. So why don't you get ready to get beat by ozen and worry about that than to bash the team that beat y'all.  I liked listening to your posts until now because you sound like a fan that can't handle the truth
