Ancient history. Last 4 years we’re 2 & 2 should be 3 &1 BH. Enjoy the glory years They are ending quick.

Those two wins and OT may have been BH’s glory years though. We have some horses coming. Coach P will finally get the type talent Coach Rio had.

I know the Sophomore class has 558 students. A couple more years and folks not gonna recognize BH. It’s changing and think you’ll see more athletes popping up in BH. Hopefully, we stay out 6A until we get the athletes to be able to compete. That’s a whole different beast.

I think that puts y’all pretty close to 6A then? Your sophomore class of 558 will be your junior class at the next realignment. Y’all grew about 10% last enrollment with that 558 as your freshman number. Using that same assumption that puts your 8th grade class, which will be counted as freshman next year, around 585-ish.

    558(jr. class/current sophomores) + 570?(so. class/current freshmen) + 585(fr. class/current 8th) + current jr. class = ? for BH enrollment for the 2024 realignment. I could be undershooting doing the math that way too.

    BH JV won 19-18

That should be kind of concerning because y’all used to smash us on the lower levels. JV squeaked by with a one point win while two of the best ‘25 kids in Texas at their positions are on varsity. I didn’t see any impact sophomores on BH’s varsity when I was comparing film to the roster this week. Not saying JV scores are insignificant but your varsity studs usually never play JV.

Maybe BH beats Crosby’s freshman A team of Davis plays but that would require the QB to be able to get it to him. I will say that BH either has some large enrollment lower classes or very high participation rates. BH is huge size wise in the lower classes but I think they’re going to take a step back skill wise for two or three years after that ‘24 class graduates. Kids can always develop though.

BH already looks like a 6A school size and numbers wise in that freshman class. You can always tell the difference in classes at the good schools because of how many big guys they have and BH has a lot more big guys than Crosby down there. Crosby still has more general talent but size matters.

    Damn!

That’s because BH’s B-team QB is way better then their A-team QB. He’s their whole team. I was asking his dad in the stands why he’s not on A-team? Come to find out I work with both freshman QB’s dads and I’ll leave it at that.

  5. How we ever win in Barbers Hill is beyond me. Crosby freshman A probably had 15 penalties for 140 yards to BH’s two penalties for 10 yards. It was so bad the BH fans were saying “I hope we have the same refs tomorrow”, smh.

Two ds called back. BH gets gifted a first down on roughing the passer because we hit him to hard, smh. Man it’s ridiculous.

The growth projections for BH are astronomical.  They will definitely be 6A sooner rather than later and I think there will be a learning curve for the boys sports (girls should be okay), but the correction shouldn't take too much time to occur.

I think BH is going to need to be up around 3,200 to really compete in 6A in the boys sports and Crosby needs to be somewhere around 2,800 before they can. If you notice, CEK didn't really get good when they moved up until they reached right around the 3k enrollment mark.

Just because 14.3, 4 or 5 couldn’t hack it in One Act Play doesn’t mean it’s not Major😂

I would be surprised if they couldn't with some of the stories those boys come up with. We were out there on Bolivar tattooing the redfish in the surf Saturday night and 14.4 links up with about a 40" bull. He landed him, took some pics and released him. He goes back to the cooler to get a shrimp comes back with is $300 Lews set up broken in half and told me the fish did it, smh.

Those are nice results and all, but lets not forget that this is Texas and football is king.  BH does have the edge in mostly everything else, but people will keep chirping until they start beating Crosby in football.  However, with all the SH99 related development that is happening in the Mont Belvieu area, the clock on Crosby's football dominance could be ticking.

Depending on how you want to look at it BH is either in a better or worse situation than Crosby. Yes, their increasing growth rate will naturally bring them more talent. On the other hand if that rate continues to increase it's going to get BH to 6A faster than they're probably ready for in the boys sports. The 5A-D1 cap is only 2,222 right now. Crosby will be over 2,100 at the next realignment and BH should be 100+ students larger than Crosby. BH could potentially go 6A at the next realignment without an increase in the enrollment cap, both Crosby and BH will be 6A by the '26 realignment though.

    Total score from 21-22

    BH - 13

    Crosby - 4

So what you're highlighting is that BH lost to Crosby in every major boys sport? We already knew that. Crosby is also a couple of years removed from a 4x100 boys state championship, something BH will never ever sniff.

5 pages😂 so the JV and Freshman play tonight! How are the JV/Fresh teams doing at Crosby? Are the playing well or like the Varsity?

We'll see, they lost to King and FB Marshall and killed Lee. We don't have a stud QB in the freshman class but 14.4 has a little cousin toting it out of the backfield. He's probably the best raw athlete in the entire family.

You don't have to read between the lines. I'll lay it out for you if you need me to.

Congrats, that’s like less than 20 teams out of 250 teams across the state and 58Congrats, that’s like less than 20 teams out of 250 teams across the state and 5A. I didn’t realize that you were the superintendent of Barbers Hill or on the school board that hired our head coach.

That says even more about y'all though. Abseck doesn't have anybody on his staff that can relate to a lot of kids on Crosby's team so he would probably never be an option for Crosby's school board. I would hire a guy proved he can win with talent equivalent to the situation he's walking into.

What ? You mean with 14,1, 14.2, 14.3 and now 14.4 they don't have any state titles? No way. I thought Crosby was North Shore East.

Nah, 14.4s older cousins at North Shore are the ones with the state titles and All-American recognition. My parents had enough money to move out of that area shortly after I was born due to some of my older cousins being killed.

  14. 3 minutes ago, TradenupBH said:

The reason why I said 4-5 years because before that with exception of a year or two, Crosby was a nobody. Anyone that’s lived in this area knows that. Just an average team, but listening to their fans you would think Crosby has 7 or 8 state titles.

Lol, dude y'all literally hired the coach y'all have now because he beat Crosby in the semi-finals in '14. Otherwise he has 0 state titles to his name and y'all probably wouldn't have even reached out to him. I agree we're average, fact still remains that no 5A teams in the Houston area can consistently play with us outside of Manvel.

  15. 4 minutes ago, TradenupBH said:

You’re the one that brought it up? I’m still waiting on what the Crosby kids have done at the college level since they’re so superior?

You keep trying to throw in stupid catch words like "superior". Crosby has been better coached and has better athletes than BH, that's not debatable. That's why y'all have only beat us twice since the middle school kids have been alive. I'm not saying we can't play like last year and get beat, I'm just pointing out the percentages aren't on BH's side and haven't been for a while.

  16. 8 minutes ago, TradenupBH said:

Also, show us what these great FBS players are doing in college from the last 4-5 years. Surely they’re all-Americans, heisman trophy winners, etc?

We don't have the talent we had in the Riordan years so we hardly have any FBS kids anymore. C-Patt led Rice in receiving and should do it again this year, Chayse Todd is having a solid career at UH, Craig Williams is the backup RB at Baylor, Helburg just signed with UH this year, Raelon Singleton led Utah in receiving before transferring and maybe you throw in Austin Walter who's in the league right now.

Maybe you're talking about the ones we've played against he last 4-5 years? In that case it's a bunch more

I think what everybody wants to say is Crosby posters get on here and boast that everyone sucks, but their team. Like BH not having FBS players. Schools with no big college bound kids beat schools with them every week. Crosby always talks mad trash because there’s that chance if they lose to a team like BH, they will get clowned on here and hurt their pride. Crosby has a good football team, but their not a juggernaut by any means.

Saying you don't have is FBS players is nowhere equivalent to saying you suck. That's just your perception of the comments. You don't have to tell me teams with no FBS players beat teams that have them because we do it all the time. Never would a non-blowout loss to BH be equivalent to the way were clowned around the state on basically every high school football outlet after losing by 56 at home to King. Don't gas the situation up dude

Ok great I wasnt sure, I just wanted to be sure that everyone knew the mouthpiece of the message boards was the rb's dad and sounds like we have atleast 5 more years of it lol. Love it!

Crosby has everything to lose, nothing less than a undefeated district championship and deep run towards state is failure.  If the score isnt 59-7 tomorrow night its a failure.  Exactly what BH did to Sterling is what you think you should do to BH.

Everybody that's been on this board for any number of years is well aware all my kids are #14, I've been doing this for over a decade on here. It's going to be a lot more than 5 years, I have young nephews and another young son. I love it too!

So you're saying you on here talking trash and don't even have the DNA to produce a varsity football player? Makes sense now.
