No doubt. Just saying it's easy to have a "hangover" after another near miss against Ozen. But again, that's the nature of the beast and you have to play them as you get them.

Nederland drew a tough schedule having to play Ozen and Central back to back twice. No excuse, still gotta get up and play the game with intensity. But it is tougher than having them spread out by a few games.

I don't think anyone was criticizing anyone for being "emotional." But we don't need to rehash that issue. If a big criticism of a coach is he pumps his fist when his team takes a lead, I will take him.

The first time I saw Davis on the sideline and his team, I knew the guy could coach. On each and every occasion since, my initial impression has been reinforced. I really don't think there's any doubt about it.

Earlier in district play, HF had 14 high school players only, 7 on JV and 7 on varsity. With injuries/grades/etc, sounds like less now.

He's been a 2nd round projection in many mock drafts for a while now. However, since Ridley's injury, his stock is on the rise. As bulldogbacker correctly noted, every member of an NBA roster is NOT there to score. Ibeh is a long 6'11" with a lot of athleticism. He will be given a shot in the NBA as a rim protector. Not saying he will make it, but you're crazy to think he isn't on a lot of radars.

I think Ozen did have the option and chose to remain in 5A. At least that's what I was told.

It's a different day and age for HJ. If you look at their respective schedules, it's obvious neither Davis nor Sigler runs from a challenge. In fact, the exact opposite is true. If they can make it work, I don't know why they couldn't play.

Seems they've moved some jr high games from Thursday to Monday. Messing up my plans to see BS.

Everyone knows I'm a huge Foster fan but you can't just label Clay as someone who took over a great program. First, he was a part of that program for several years and was widely considered one of the best assistants in this area. Second, the only reason he was an assistant those years was because he wanted to be home. He did a very good job at Jasper and Tatum as a head coach, and those are part of his resume'. He's definitely one of the top coaches in this area IMO. That's why I didn't make a list. No way I could limit it to 5.
