  1. Any of you guys/girls at Hardin had the chance to meet coach Stark yet?  He said that the town gave him a very warm welcome with a fish fry.....  That was extremely nice of the folks in Hardin, I know it meant a lot to Tod!  He had a rough time with the decision to leave West Sabine and his last month here was very emotional for him, it was good that Hardin did that for him.  Again, I will say that if the Hardin ISD adims will back Stark and the if the town stands behind him and gives him some time he will do great things there.  I've never seen someone that can motivate kids the way he does, the guy is full of energy and he knows his stuff.  Take care of him Hardin and he will take care of you!

  2. Chester86,

Sorry for the fireworks in the last game.  From what I saw it was another great tournament hosted by Evadale.  This has become my favorite tournament to attend.  Always very competitive.  Good job to all the Evadale guys/gals that had a hand in running the tournament.

I also want to give a nod to the Wildcats from BS.  They impressed me Saturday night.  The coaches for BS and the players kept their cool and ended up with the win by playing baseball and keeping emotions out of the game.  Congrats on the win!

  3. Wonder why that is?

The retirement age folks want to be on the lake and that pretty much sums up Hemphill.  Hemphill needs to give the HC and his staff time.  It will continue to get a little better over the next few years.  I am very glad that they won a few games this year, it did wonders for the team and community.  There was a swelling of pride and the stands began filling again.  Hemphill is a great town full of good people, it will come back around.

  4. No need to apologize Si! He's made smug remarks all year about our district. He brought his all on himself.

Don't get me wrong, I am in no way conceding that Falcon was correct in his statements I just need to disagree in a more personable fashion.  The guy does have a way of bringing out the worst in folks, huh?  But I should be more tolerable to his opinions as they are, only, his opinions!

  5. Pineland Flash, you are correct on the statement that everyone would be playing for 2nd (perhaps you can add this to my Huntington prediction). I qualified it when Burrell got hurt.

There may be merit to Uncle Si's point that one player does make 30 pts difference. When the offense does not move as it is centered around one player the team can self destruct. Don't think I am a Shelbyville fan, I have much time invested in the kids at SA and I pull for them as far they can go.

Falcon, I'm truly sorry for the wording of my post yesterday, that is not the way I like to represent myself and regardless of what another person has said or done there is no rhyme or reason for a person to talk and try and demoralize another.  You have your opinions and I have mine, I respect that.  I was in a crappy mood yesterday and spoke before I thought.  If there was still an edit option I would have changed it.  I hope that you can accept my apology.

  6. Reshod Williams QB/CB West Sabine
    15/21/253yds. 2TD passing
    16car.144yds. 2TD rushing
    40 return yds.
    14tk.(5 for loss, 5 solo), 2INT
    437 tot.yds. 4 TD

Singlehandedly out gained previously unbeaten Shelbyville 437-140 in WS 34-6 win Friday.....

Ditto this post.  This kid played the best all around ironman football game I've ever witnessed by one player.  He was all over the field offensively and defensively.  Just ask the folks in Shelbyville what they think about him!

  7. Everyone on the planet knows that when a 2A team loses their best player it makes a difference. Shelbyville's best player is playing with a broken foot. I have not made an incorrect statement. Sorry to hurt your feelings. Asylums are full of people laughing.

No one player makes a team 30 points better! That's a huge deficit. Nice try, but please get off the dragons jock!!!! Sorry u couldn't cut it at SA.
  8. If West Sabine plays to their potential and plays hard for 4 quarters they have a legitimate shot at winning this game.  If they make the stupid penalties and start slow like they have done most of this season then Shelbyville will win in dominate fashion.  It's SR night at WS with a lot of SR players and the last home game of their high school careers so maybe that will get them fired up!

  9. JMike passed for more than 350 yards on Shelbyville last year so the notion that it "CAN'T" happen is not true.  Shelbyville has not been tested this year against a quality passing game.  If SA has a chance at this it will be through the air plus they will have to get 2-3 stops defensively to be able to outscore Shelbyville.  My opinion is that SV wins by 3 or so TD's.  I just don't think SA's defense can stop Burrell and company.  I will be pulling for SA though!

I don't ever recall anyone disputing that or even bringing that up. The award is not for the best QB, RB, WR, or whatever it's an award recognizing a great athletic perfomance of one game. There is really no need in you trying to turn this into something it's not. Troll much?................. smh!!![/

Apparently he has nothing better to do, eh Si? Lol let's keep it nice though...

Some folks make it hard to be nice!
