Actually, Silsbee was hot from 3 land in 1st half. Was 7 of 18 (39%) but went 0/7 in 2nd half. Only attempted 1 three in 4th Q.
After Silsbee took a double digit lead mid way 2nd Q, they kept that double digit lead for the rest of the game with the largest lead at 23 mid 3rd Q. 2nd quarter was a big difference in game, but after 1st quarter, Silsbee controlled the game.

Yall had no answer for Grubbs though. What if Adams and Maze put together decent games in Sour Lake !! They could be the wild card in the next matchup and it can get ugly real quick.

Tre Grubbs looked really good tonight. He played a very aggressive game. I love how he is one of the best guards in the area but plays down low for Silsbee when needed. He rebounds the ball very well, plays phenomenal defense, shoots the ball well, handles the ball well... Also, I was very impressed with HJ's big man. Probably one of the best dunks I have seen in a while. Parquet is the real deal. He is very smooth and can really score the ball. I really feel like Silsbee has the ability to win it this year. They have to have killer instinct and stop starting the game off so slow. Take stuff more serious and keep working to get better.

From what I saw in HJ, they are turn over prone...I mean they turned the ball over against Ozen like it was HOT! I know they turned it over like 20+ times, but in their defense it was the first game after the Christmas break, but I thought then that Silsbee's pressure would really bother them....I think this will get ugly at Silsbee by the 4th....Silsbee by 17.

I believe I answered your question. Ozen was #1, Silsbee was #2, Ozen lost, Silsbee won. Pretty simple. Oh, and 8 of the 10 voters obviously agrees.
Yes, most if not all the teams in the big school rankings would beat LC-M and Jasper. So what is the point? Who's to say Silsbee wouldn't beat Ozen? You know who they already beat this season.

4a Silsbee JV with three varsity players beat 5A Central a couple years back. And 4a Silsbee with half of their team beat 5a central this year.

No one yet still has any ideal where Smoke Town come from. lol I will say this it started in the early 90's and it has nothing to do with UIL sports in Silsbee. Smoke Town was a name that put Silsbee on the map for a hole different reason AND it wasn't Weed.! What was once called The Silsbee Mafia.Witch  became what is called Smoke Town today was a group of kids making rap music in Woodrow . Witch was called Woodrow records. Where they started makeing many CD's. So they needed a place to sell CD's so here we go yall they opened up SMOKE TOWN RECORDS " SILSBEE T.X. ..! It was the fist yellow house on roseavelt dr. on the right. Right behind the bank off 5th Street. And at this point there where folks from all over comeing to buy CD's to where it got to the point when people would say I'm going to Silsbee" they would say I'm going to Smoke Town to get CD's. But after awhile they closed the place down do to heavy trafficking witch weed was a factor from all the hype.! These kids playing ball today grew up listening to all that music I know becouse I did too and so did just about everyone else in the 409 at that time. And the one who really started all this is in prison now but the family of friends that where formed back in the day will never stop calling Silsbee  SMOKE TOWN .
