Just having a little fun today guys. I apologize for sounding sharp. I am well aware of who Blain Padgett is. He's a great LB, frankly, one of the best I've ever seen in this area. I wish him the best of luck at Rice, and I really look forward to the day that he and the Walter twins put Rice football on the map. My posts on this topic were a mistake, one I've worked hard to stop making. I just had a stumble in my resolve today. I personally apologize to Mr Padgett and ask him to forgive me.

Not really sure, but there is a difference between a school that plays football, and a school that has a program.  Take for instance, Rice University.  They simply play football.  UT and TAMU have programs.  See the difference?  If not, I'm sure you will soon find out.

Exactly.  You shouldn't tell, but coming on here and saying, "I know but I'm not telling", reeks of childishness.  If it makes you feel important to know, by all means, feel important.  My issue is, you not only need to feel important, you need me to know you are important.  That is what grinds my gears.  Anyway, that's my 2 cents. 

Ever think that maybe Lamar didn't have a need at the position your son plays? Maybe McNeese had a need there.  That would explain the disparity in the times they visited.  Also, different coaches judge talent differently.  Maybe Lamar didn't find your son as talented at McNeese did.  Lots of variables. "Lamar doesn't recruit locally" isn't one of them.

I've questioned the local recruitment also, but I can Honestly say I was Dead wrong. I've seen how passionate the current staff is about local kids. They would Love to offer All Local kids, but in Reality they must Win also to keep their jobs. There are only so many positions and they must recruit the best kid available. They look locally first, but if the local kid isn't the best fit, Coach has to make a decesion that affects his Team for the next 4 yrs.
Tell you what, the visit this past weekend was Great for us. The offer Lamar has put on the table for my Son is Unbelievable. He committed months ago and it's one of the best decesions he has made in his young life. We are truly Blessed to receive an offer to pay for his Education. He can now pursue his Dreams of playing College Football & most importantly earn a Degree. God Is Good.

It's amazing to me how seamlessly you transition between two user names and don't think anyone catches on to the game that you play.  You're over on the Hardin threads, as "HardinHornets", chastising the Hardin faithful for not cheering on their team, and you're on this thread, as "Salesman", criticizing the Bobcat fans for supporting theirs!  It's a total two faced game you play on here.  I'm not sure if you are just bored, or if you really are sporting multiple personalities, but the game has to stop.  It wasn't that long ago that you came on here as "Salesman" and announced that you are walking away from posting.  All of that stemmed because you were called out for saying that Joubert had a plan to leave Kountze to coach the group of kids who are currently in the 5th grade at Hardin right now. You cannot paint yourself as a great supporter of the community with one screen name, while using another screen name to release your villainous side.  At least the things that Bobcat55 and HDBobcats9 say, they say out in the open with everyone knowing who they are.  You try to play both sides of the fence, but your writing style is unmistakable. 

So this post started out asking who would win tonight's game, and it has degraded into a discussion about HD having poor school discipline and being an academic wasteland.  Hmmm, some of you guys are truly gems and I'm sure that your families are proud of you.  Our players read this stuff.  Never forget that at the end of the day we are just supporting kids, who are a part of our community, and need the support.  What you guys are doing is wrong.

You are terribly misinformed.  Finney's move had nothing to do with his salary, as evidenced by the fact that he didn't leave for another coaching job.  Sometimes family issues spring up and you have to man up and do what you have to do .  That's what he did and I applaud him for it.  Coach Hodges will be fine.
