2 point ballgame OF has been off on their 3 ball but they are attacking the glass and hurting the Pirates down low.

OF has battled back with a little help from the Pirates lack of rebounding. 32-28 Vidor at the 4 minute mark in the 3rd.

Ugh... 2 consecutive possessions Vidor puts OF on the line but they miss the free throw then the Pirates fight each other for the rebound and lose it right back to OF.

29-22 Vidor at halftime Looks like some of the younger players are going to have to step up for the Pirates to close this one out. It doesn’t look good for #12 and the gimp hammy but the youngsters have been getting it done lately. It all depends on how well they handle it when OF applies the pressure, so far both teams are playing half court defense. These refs are letting them play so I expect a physical, hard fought 2nd half.

Vidor pushed the lead to 8 but OF fought back to tighten it up and the Pirates hit a buzzer beater 3 to end the half.

Looks like it, he’s having a game. Finishes well around the basket for a smaller guy.

22-14 Vidor 2:30 in the 2nd Pirates off to a good start but it looks like a couple of starters are gimpy out there. One grabbing a hamstring and the other nursing a calf.

Not to rain on their parade too much because this has been a great season for Ltown to this point but I'm assuming they go back to middle of the pack and fighting for a playoff spot next season. Losing that caliber of a player they'll just be the good old lovable, friendly Raiders again. Everything will return to normal and Silsbee will dominate the district for the next 4 years. Of course Lumberton wont have to worry about them anymore, with the L-Train going to 5a soon. It looked like they were going to be moved up this season but luckily they weren't and now you have a district title to claim as your own. I wonder how they would have done in 5a this year, shoot PA might not even make the playoffs. Soon we will see how good of a coach they really have there but hey enjoy it while you got it, he's a hell of a player and fun to watch. We've been going against Brock since he was a little boy, you could always tell there was something different about the tall lanky kid from Lumberton, even in 7th grade he could hit those long bomb 3 point shots with ease. Glad he made it to the next level and gets to play at a local D1 school where we get to keep up with his progression. Congrats on the outright DC and best of luck in the playoffs friends, I know some Pirates that will be there watching and pulling for the Raiders.

So will he be recruiting Orange County? Looks like OF and possibly WOS might lose a few athletes in the coming years. Nothing wrong with it I guess, just the way things are now days. I went to a LCM basketball game where they announced the starters and where they are from, mostly Orange and Orangefield. I'm just jelly cause Vidor ain't getting nobody, we could use a few athletes around here but we are the stepchild of OC.

Man that would be awesome to see, putting a lot of faith in BC though and I don’t think they are going to do OF any favors. They are sitting solid in the 3 spot but you never know, I’ll be pulling for them just cause I’d like to see that play in game.

Pirates winning with free throws, a welcome sight this year. They were all shooting it atrociously from the line earlier in the season.

Bulldogs cut it close and the Pirates stretch it back out to 7. Closing this one out with free throws add 2 more at the line. 54-45 Vidor just 43.5 secs to go

Pirates work a 7 point lead at the 2 minute mark.

42-39 Vidor coming down the final stretch, way to close for comfort. Both teams in the bonus, this game is going to come down to free throws.

Vidor pulled away slightly in the 3rd at 27-21 but Kelly applied the full court press and cut it to 27-26 with 3:50
