Garrett Gilbert, QB, #7 for Lake Travis...this kid is one to watch! QB Garrett Gilbert, a Texas signee who is considered one of the top 20 players in the nation. Last season, Gilbert threw for 4,826 yards with 52 TDs and added another 400 yards and six TDs on the ground.

Listened to the game and there were some quetionable calls as always in high school football. The hat was tipped in Friendswood favor, and they came away with the "W". Now they face an unsurmountable task in beating Lake Travis. I agree, we should be supporting FW in this endeavor, as tough as it may be!

Totally agree! Got to see Newton play once this year, and as always, good fan support, great coaching, and the boys playing with heart! Thats what high school football is all about! Great year, Newton....looking forward to seeing you next year!
