I highly doubt that. If that was the case why would they even interview the five finalist. Why wouldn't they just hire this coach? On top of that, the interviews have never even been made official by PNGISD. That is all message board / blog chatter. I highly doubt PNGISD is interviewing five candidates over the course of today and tomorrow at the direction of some coach who is calling all the shots. WHAT IS SEEING THE LIST GOING TO PROVE? PNGISD is going to hire the best candidate. This round table discussion is not going to amount to anything more than a chance for the media members to ridicule and bash PNGISD. Let's just hope they got ALL their facts straight before they start ripping them. A lot of credibility can be lost quickly airing out dirty laundry that is fabricated and not based in fact. Other than this roundtable discussion being nothing more than a waste of time and the chance to "bash" PNG by the media, I think it will prove one huge point: That is, the media in Southeast Texas has stooped to the lowest of lows in "ripping" a local school district and will lose ALL credibility for future coverage and respect.

I agree with these and I would add Chris Garrett from Duncanville......younger and enthusiastic with a good ideas, excellent TE coach as well, from what I hear.

I think Southeast Texas will be surprised with the new HC/AD at PNG, and I think it will be someone we least expect. The indian spirits are covering The Reservation and I feel nothing but blessings coming PNG's way in the future from our new HC/AD. Dillusional. We voted for our board, they are the folks we put our trust in. I will wait and let THEM make the decision. All these nonsense postings don't mean a thing. PNG will decide.

Good post, OlGabe. Unfortunately, there are those that don't understand reasoning or your perspective. Some folks are so full of "hate" that it directs their negativity. I have NEVER in my life seen so many people get upset about this. And, over 95% of the people posting the negatives aren't even from PNG. And so, IF and WHEN the list is revealed, what are these folks going to do....let me guess, BASH the applicants, BASH PNG, hurl insults at PNG fans, feel SUPERIOR is some kind of regard, and wait in the wings for even more negativity. I thought southeast texas schools supported each others endeavors...we're all in this together. We want our area of the state to be the best when it comes to support. However, there are people from around the state that are looking at these postings and raising eyebrows because of the way posters from other schools are turning against one of their owns.

PNG is doing the right thing. All this say that they are holding out for one particular applicant is a bunch of hogwash! PNG will give each applicant a level playing field and choose the right guy. I will be glad when we have a new HC/AD so we can get ready for next year. The new RESERVATION is beautiful, and next year is going to be GREAT! If you get a chance, go by and look at the stadium...that alone will get your blood pumping! I think we all should "lay off" and let the board/committee fulfill what they were set out to do. PNG>>>>>>>>>>>>>>HONOR..........PRIDE.........TRADITION !

I agree, Spider.....this year, the mainstream media has done nothing but reek havoc on folks. They need to let it rest concerning PNG. They can threaten, call names, sway opinions, whatever, but they won't penetrate the Indian fans of PNG. Anything they say or do against PNG will just bounce back in their faces. In the long run, PNG and their new HC/AD will come out the winner, with the media looking like the "fools" they are after pressuring this fiasco.

I do agree with you that this "list" thing is becoming redundant. But, my question, is, how do you know who PNG wants for a HC? I'm curious. Reliable sources? Talked to the applicant? Any facts you can share? This might put an end to these threads if you can give some credence to the subject.
