I agree with you. He just wants a raise. Plus, PN-G doesn't want an old guy. They just reassigned one of those. I didn't say he was using PNG for a pay raise, but that "so much has been said that he's trying to use PNG for a possible pay increase" from CC.

I still have my "reservations" (no pun intended) about Danaher. Maybe because so much has been said that he's trying to use PNG as leverage for a pay increase from CC. Also, he stated his "heart" would stay at Calallen. I don't know......any other thoughts about whether you think he's trying to use PNG as leverage, or does he have "real" intentions?

BISD is planning to break ground on their new stadium sometime next month. Unfortunately, it wont be ready for football for nearly two years. It will be one of the nicest facilities in the state, and will easily rival any of the local stadiums in the area. Stump knows whats coming. Hope he likes playing on Saturdays a few times a year and sharing the complex with the other Beaumont Schools. He could come to PNG and have his very own. Then retire after three or four years. Is that really what PNG fans want? Somebody that just cares about retirement? Nah....we want someone in there for the "long haul". Even though the chance to coach at PNG would be a stepping stone in the right direction ! ;D

The committee makes the recomendation to the school board. Since the committee had board members on it already, its usually just a formality for the board to approve. The committee scrutinizes these applicants a lot, so when they arrive at a recommendation, its for real. I feel we will know who the new HC/AD is before February 10th. The "natives" are gettin restless in PNG land ! ;D

I like to put a "face" with a name. Did some research on the Duncanville High School website and found a picture of Chris Garrett. Young Coach has given us some stats and resume' info. Tryin to find news articles from sportswriters, etc.

This is impressive, good to get some info on him. I didn't know enough about him, but I am impressed. A good young coach that could bring some enthusiasm back to PNG. I totally agree with you. We need excitement at PNG and a young coach that is willing to give it his all is what we need. Anymore details on Garrett? Pretty good list of accomplishments .

A lot of outsiders don't want to see change at PNG........ But guess whats thats just a little bit to darn bad isn't it. Change is coming. I sure hope so, pngfan1 ! And I'm "1" of the thousands of fans that want the change. ;D

Ya'll had exactly that with Danny Malone. Yes we definitely did. Hated to see him go. Yeah, the "Malone" days sure were nice! ;D

Young Coach I believe all the PNG fans have a coach that they believe will be best. No matter who they choose, we need to back and support that person 100%. I know I have an opinion of the top 4, and I believe we will be fine with ANY of those. Yeah one may a little better, but I think its a win win situation. I will support whoever gets chosen. Well said, I TOTALLY agree.

Yeah, to a certain extent. However, these are high schoolers. I just think it might mean something more to them if somehow they had a say in the process is all. But, I understand your logic.
