  1. I didn't know he was a special teams coach as well. This is good, VERY good! ;D
  2. I WENT TO A ALEDO FOOTBALL GAME DURING HURRICANE IKE AND TALK ABOUT A TOP NOTCH PROGRAM AND FACILITIES.I HAVE RELATIVES THAT WORK FOR ALEDO SCHOOL DISTRICT AND WHEN ASKED ABOUT JOE DALE CAREY THEY COULD NOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT HIM AND HIS FAMILY.LOOKS LIKE PN-G IS BRINGING IN A NEW GENERATION OF COACHES TO THE AREA.THINGS ARE CHANGING AT THE RESERVATION. ;D They definitely are! High caliber coaches at PNG......man, this is excitin!
  3. I like the idea that Coach Faircloth stated that he wants to incorporate his style of play all the way to the middle school. This is exciting! He's looking to rebuild the COMPLETE program at PNG......have the kids learn the plays early, so when they get to varsity, thier skills can be fine tuned. I like his 50-50 style of play, 50% running the ball, 50% passing. I think he'll be able to bring a good mix to PNG and its gonna be an exciting "change" for PNG fans to enjoy! Honor..........Pride...........Tradition................PNG!
  4. Man, I can't wait ! I've heard people around the area say we may have a Spring "Fire Up" pep rally. Anyone else heard this? I think it would be a good idea! How many days until week 0? The NDN's are pumped!
  5. I totally agree! We have the right coaches in place to bring PNG back to the outstanding football program that it once was!
  6. Faircloth stated: Faircloth said he wants to install an offensive game plan different than the grind-it-out style familiar to so many PN-G fans. "I like using multiple formations on offense," Faircloth said. "And we will be 50-50 on pass and run. If we have to throw the ball 50 times to win a game, then we'll pass 50 times. "We'll take what the defense gives us." I LIKE THIS GUY!!!! WOW! I HAVE A FEELIN PNG WILL BE BACK WITH A STRONG LEADER IN FAIRCLOTH!
  7. Wow! This is GREAT! I like the fact that he wants his kids to go thru PNGISD and that he's not focused on Nederland until we meet on the field...one game at a time! He was not suppose to start until March 2, but has decided to start next week! GREAT !!!!! I like this guy....he's just what PNG needed!!!! Honor.........Pride.............Tradition...............PNG!
  8. Very good timeframe! Gonna be tough to keep a honeymoon alive when you drop your first 4 years straight to big ned.... ;D ;) on a more serious note, I hope the guy comes in and does a great job, if not, I'd say the honeymoon lasts about as long as the PNG scoreboard stays on after a Nederland win....not long ;D ;D I have a feeling the PNG scoreboard at The Reservation this year, will be on for a looooonnnnnnngggg time after the game as the NDN's send the dawgs back to their dogpound! ;D Gotta love MCM!!!
  9. Coach Crouch will be good for LCM. Best of luck to him and the Bears this year! A lot of talent at LCM, great community support, sounds like a "win-win" situation.
  10. I think the PNG "faithful" will be patient and understanding of Coach Faircloth.....its been a very, very long time since we have had excitement and looked this forward to even off season. Coach Faircloth has already won the hearts of many NDN fans and I feel we will be there with much support. That being said, it will be others, outside of our district, that will be so critical and will be waiting for Coach Faircloth to fail. I hate to say it, but thats how it is. I've already read negative posts on here concerning him before he is even here. Could it be fear, jealousy, who knows. Wheneve a new coach comes to town, whether it be PNG, LCM, Central, whoever, we as 20-4a should come together as a district and make them feel welcome and support them in their endeavors. I know this is an opinion board and EVERYONE has one, including myself, but I think we need to lay off the coaches, let them do the best job they can, and be supportive. As far as the "honeymoon", it will last...just like in a marriage, as long as the communication is there, and the fire is continually flamed, it will last.....PNG...........Honor.............Pride.............Tradition......"Priceless" !
  11. Best of Luck to LCM and Coach Crouch. You got a good one there. I feel he will come in, change things, and get you guys back in the "hunt" !
  12. Good post. I'm pretty sure Hooks, Barbay, and Neumann all had to start somewhere. I doubt too many are hired straight out of school as HC's. Faircloth led the Permian offense as offense coordinator, and did it well. Does he have HC experience? No, but im glad we chose to take a chance on him. I like what i've been reading on him. Barbay was the Asst. Coach under Lidney Thompson, who coached the Eagles to the 1974 State Championship with a win over the Spearman Lynx 55-6. You are right, they ALL had to start somewhere. Faircloth will be GOOD for PNG....CHANGE is coming to The Reservation !
  13. Me too, pngfan1, me too!
  14. No disrespect but how do yall know he is a good one. He has never led a program before. Its going to take him some time, but he has DEFINITELY proven his offensive ability at Permian. Also, Allman, HC of Permian, has stated that he will be there for Faircloth if he has any question and that he trained Faircloth for an HC position. PNG will be alright.....!
  15. I think PNG will DEFINITELY move up in the rankings, but too soon to tell if they will be in the top! Just my opinion!
  16. I agree, I think next year will be a learning curve for PNG, but look out...after that, PNG will be hard to stop! As Coop says, I've watched video and Faircloth's offenses LOVE stingy defenses...he loves to rip 'em apart at the seams! I'm looking forward to Coach Faircloth being here and continuing the RICH tradition of PNG football! PNG............Honor............Pride............Tradition!
  17. Yep! Coach Faircloth is the REAL deal! You will see a NEW PNG this year! Honor....Pride......Tradition...."Priceless"
  18. I agree. 31 is young and with his credibility, would be nice if he was here a loooooonnnnnngggg time!
  19. Ur absolutely right! Man, I have a feelin that old time "spirit" when EVERYONE was hoarse on Saturday morning will be back at The Reservation this year! Man, how long to week 0?
  20. Been hearin a lot of talk last night and today that PNG should have an early "FIRE IT UP" Pep Rally with the band, Cheerleaders, Indianettes, Indian Spirit, and ALL the young men that will be representing the Indians in the fall, to welcome Coach Faircloth and his family to PNG. I thing it would be GREAT for all of us thousands of fans that bleed "purple" to come out, fill up our new Reservation and give Coach Faircloth the true meaning of HONOR>>>>PRIDE>>>>TRADITION ! What do you NDN fans think about this?
  21. Article on Faircloth from The Odessa American: [Hidden Content]
  22. "First of all, it's extremely humbling to be associated with a program of such rich tradition as Port Neches-Groves," Faircloth said late Friday night. "I am ready to go to work immediately and get this thing going." "I think PN-G is very similar to all those schools. They all have great communities, high expectations, great academics and a wonderful, supportive fan base," he said. "When you put those things together that is a great formula for success." Faircloth said he ran a multi-formation, multi-personnel offense at Permian and would implement the same system at PN-G. "We will take what the defense gives us and we will take advantage of our intelligent players," he said. "We want to put our kids in great situations where we can be successful." Faircloth said he stressed his views on football and education during his interview. He said the hardest part about the interview was getting "my heart across" to the interview committee. "You want them to see your heart and how it's related to those kids, the program and the community," he said. "I think the experiences I have been through at Westlake, Highland Park and Odessa has prepared me for this." Faircloth IS the REAL deal.........I like this guy and the way he thinks...."Mojeaux" !
  23. So, does "Mojo" become "Mojeaux" now? Just had to throw that one in there. I'm really glad PNG got Faircloth for a headcoach....I think he will take our NDN's to a higher plane this year. I just want to throw kudos to some of the other teams in our district....even though I've been bashed by Lumberton fans, I feel they will be strong again this year, as well as Central, Livingston, and Nederland. I NEVER count out Vidor and really, sincerely, hope they make it to the playoffs this year....they've worked hard over there. Good luck to LCM and their new coach (whoever that will be), I really like LCM. And Ozen, good luck to you fellas as well. And, even though they are not in our district anymore, Dayton is ALWAYS the real deal and I've grown to really like Dayton alot ( must be the purple). To me, WE have the BEST 4a district in the state and I hope and pray that SOMEONE from our district goes all the way to state this year. Best of luck to ALL the teams and ALL the fans!
  24. Learning a complex offensive scheme will be more of a challenge than worrying about the talent. As far as Mid County did you attend the PNG - Nederland Freshman game this past season? ;D I was there, Nederland had like 300 yards of penalties, the best team don't always win, that was the case that night. The Nederland freshman class was the most talented group of freshman I saw play last year. Nederland had 5 sophs starting on varsity last year, they have some of their most talent laden classes coming through since Neumann has been there. The CO group hasn't lost in 3 years... we'll just play the games and find out. I believe the PN-G freshman B team played Nederland B three times.... for 3 wins. The future's looking bright for the Indians. ;D I agree, the future is looking VERY BRIGHT for the PNG Indians! HONOR....PRIDE.....TRADITION..........."PRICELESS!"
