Perhaps you're in the wrong profession.Sylvia missed it a lot. I haven't missed in 10 years.
Spurs vs. Heat
(Spurs win it all) -
Sylvia's dead but I hope you're right.Hardin wins based on the 6-4 prediction I gave earlier this year.
Non-District
8/29 vs. Legacy (Home)
9/5 vs. Huntington (Home)
9/12 vs. New Waverly (Away)
District
9/26 vs. Woodville (Away)
10/3 vs. Warren (Home)
10/31 vs. Anahuac (Home) **Trick or Treat
The wins are not subject to change. However, there may be wins that I don't have on the list that are subject to change, once August gets here, I will give my final predictions after the scrimmages.
If you would like your lotto numbers for this weeks lottery, please send a Million to my po box.
Thank you,
Sylvia Browne -
So those goals are suspended up in the raptors? Is that some type of dinosaur left over from when the gym was built?

So it's actually the 6 horsemen?
-
How many recruiters have came to HD and visited with these young linemen? Are there any offers on the table?
-
55 is no fun anymore. He keeps liking everything and he's not calling people clown. I'm very disappointed.
-
No problem. As you would say, all in good fun. Thanks for all the support and positive comments toward our team.

I bet HD would beat Memorial. :)
-
But 55, not long ago you stated that the bobcats could probably beat just about anyone in Hardins old district. All those teams have larger enrollments. HD may have beaten the eagles 30 years ago but that's very old news. It's one thing to support your school but it's another thing to continue living in the past. 55, I like you guy, but the past is not always a good indicator of someone's future. Tell your son to play for today and his future.
-
You were a one man team. Awesome.
-
The HD Bobcats
-
No. Those weren't lies.
-
Eagles, I personally don't pay much attention to what you say on here anyway. You lied about being at the Woodville-Hardin game last year so to me you lost your credibility when you did that.

No, I like this one. Lol

You are exactly right.A coach can get any player "looked at". If the player has no ability it will not matter. If a player has ability and gets no look it will be due to the fact that the coach did not give the go ahead to the recruiter. There are MANY players with the ability to play in college that get no look because the recruiter did not see them and they will not see them if the coach does not get the recruiter to "look at" them. This is much more of a factor in 1A/2A. There is much more to the process than talent. There is an endless list of players with the talent/ability to play in college that fail to get recruited. There is an equal sized list of players who get recruited that lack the ability of many of who do not get recruited. I don't think anyone said that a coach will get a scholarship for a player that cant play. I do suspect that the lineman referenced in this discussion with the offer from Lamar is a direct result of the coach's attempt to get him recruited. Unless, Lamar regularly has scouts at Hardin games.
-
Yea actually coaches play a pretty big role in the recruiting process but its certainly not entirely up to the coach.
-
Corey Nance has an offer from Lamar but he has not committed.
-
CD, a parent can send a video highlight film to any college in the country within minutes. A good coach will also be sending out video left and right if they think they have a kid with the potential to play at the next level. Perhaps it was necessary to uproot 15-20 years ago but I no longer think it's necessary. Your son will be fine at HD as long as you do your part with help from his coach along the way.
-
I wasn't judging it based on the HD performance. I was just giving an example that hopefully you would understand. No one said Hardin has all state performers on the o-line. I simply stated that the o-line will contribute. Thanks
-
I guess those running backs got all those rushing yards on their own against HD last year. Even though we aren't playing each other next year come catch a Hardin game if you can and watch their softness. My son measured 6'8" exactly at Randy Rodgers recruiting. Nance is 6'7" and Adams is at least 6'5". I agree that a couple of them do need to play with more intensity.
-
Some of the lineman indeed lack that "killer" instinct. Come August, I think that attitude will be instilled in all of the lineman. I think getting the skill guys to the weight room is the bigger issue. Not all but some.
-
Speaking of weight room, Nance has increased his squat by about 150lbs and his bench by about 60lbs. Leader performs on the power lifting team and Adams has gained significant strength. As far as Mettlen, he was released about a month ago to full workouts. He has been killing me over spring break at Anytime. On the defensive line, Sophomore to be Bunfill advanced to the state meet in power lifting if I'm not mistaken. He was also 2nd team all district nose guard as a freshman. I do believe they are headed in the right direction.
