  1. I figured you were one of those outsiders taking shots at the Raiders.  You have the right to your opinion but unless you have seen them and Dayton then you are making uninformed comments.  Both these teams can play some ball.

AND yes, our defense has improved that much.

so basically you're saying that the defense that is on the field this year would only have allowed 7 points to dayton's team last year (who i did see in person)

If they're that good, they'll probably allow what, a touchdown apiece to nederland and central, and maybe a field goal to ozen and lcm, and of course they'll shut out everybody else.  I've said over and over that lumberton has improved, and that they should be proud of this win.  Too many lumberton fans get mad when someone points out that the dayton team they beat this year is not the same team as last year, and also that they're suffering from big injuries.  You're tired of "outsiders" discounting this win.  I promise you that the outsiders are tired of the "insiders" making this sound like the win of the century.  I'm also tired of the 6000 threads about this game, which is why I've gone from giving lumberton credit to pointing out reasons this win isn't as impressive as 90% of lumberton is making it out to be.

  2. Still waiting on your answer!!!

i don't support a team in 22-4a.  i just like football. HJ is my alma mater, and i'll be the first to admit they're the least impressive 3-1 team in the area.  i don't think dayton will be the whipping boys, but as of right now, i'm thinking they won't make the playoffs.  if they get a lot of these injured players back, and start clicking on offense, then i'll reevaluate my stance, and be the first to admit that they're better than i originally thought.  my feeling is this... it's obvious that lumberton has improved both on offense and defense, but has their defense improved so much that there was a 48 point difference in points allowed to dayton in one year?  i think it has to be a combination of lumberton's d improving and dayton's offense either not being as good or at least struggling greatly right now.  Dayton, prove me wrong.  I'll be the first to congratulate ya'll.

  3. DESPITE ALL THE USELESS COCKYNESS COMING FROM OTHER RAIDER FANS...I MYSELF AM A RAIDER FAN BUT WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT IS I KNOW IT WILL NOT BE EASY TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS AND WE NEED TO TREAT EVERYTEAM LIKE THEY ARE THE BEST WE CAINT GO INTO A GAME OVER CONFIDENT OR IMA FARAID IT WILL RESULT IN A LOSS THATS ONE THING I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH

you're the type of lumberton fan who hasn't gotten on my nerves, if that counts for anything, b

  4. BULLETS I LOVE HOW U HAVE NO IDEA WHAT UR TALKING ABOUT..BEATING DAYTON FOR LUMBERTON ISDAMN NEAR LIKE WINNIN THE SUPERBOWL...BUT if WE DO MAKE PLAYOFFS WILL U SHUT THE_heck UP?

I was happy for ya'll at first, but now i'm just sick of hearing it.  sorry if the win has been lessened by the 46 threads about it.

and coop, i still don't feel that the number of teams should be raised to 4.

  5. Thats a funny statement Everyone had dayton as the 1 or 2 spot in District and Lumberton beat them and now that is not an impressive win!!!! Yall are all correct Lumberton has never maid the playoffslike all the rest of the teams in this District. Lumberton is however the only team in 22-4A to beat Dayton in a district team so untill u do that dont dog out that win.

i think since the lumberton win, the only people that still have dayton in the 1 or 2 spot are dayton fans, and lumberton fans who want their win over dayton to be the win of the century instead of just a really nice win.

  6. I think the only challenge for Lumberton is Nederland because they are (4-0) right now and looking to go 5-0 and probably 6-0 against Port Neches not this week but next week.

i don't think you can make any judgements based on records at this point.  i'm not bashing lumberton, but their wins are less impressive than nederlands (in fact, it could be argued that their wins are less impressive than png's losses).  i think it's going to hinge on how lumberton does against the middle of the pack.  if they can take 3 of 4 from ozen/lcm/vidor/central, they have a decent shot.

  7. Jimmy Rollins.  he set the table for the phils' offense all year... joined the 20/20/20/20 club. incredible defense, incredible offense.  a true 5-tool player, who guaranteed a playoff berth, and then delivered.

on a sidenote, if matt holliday wins, i won't raise any arguments.

  8. I was one of the first to get on here and take up for Lumberton, but why do you have to post this statement on us. I don't understand unless your just showing your arrogance, This is suppose to be on the Dayton game. Hey it's over, and ya'll need to focus on the next game

isn't he actually saying dayton will win both of those games?

  9. Lumberton has gained respect from this win.  they are obviously a better team this year than in the past.  that being said, i'm not willing to write them in as a playoff team just yet.  this dayton win is big for lumberton, but as wins go, i'll be more impressed if lumberton wins against pn-g, nederland, or central.  dayton is obviously not as good as last year, regardless of what the dayton faithful say, and may only pull off 2 or 3 wins in district this year (unless they seriously turn it around).  lumberton, enjoy your win... you've earned it.  use it to boost your confidence, but don't let it go to your head.  this is a good win for lumberton, but you're going to have to play a lot better to consistently win against the top-half of this district.
