Giddings won the toss. 1 game Friday Night at the Woodlands College Park...7:30
unlucky for the hawks... i think every series should be a three game series so that the best team has a little more of an advantage. If HJ's hitting and pitching stays hot, they should be fine though.

I win, I win!!!

Ever think his 4th quater woes might be explained by playing defense and running the offense the majority of the game . Rockets back court needs to be over hauled and t mac should play more of the 3 quicker 2s are killing Rockets team D.
i'm not sure, it's a thought. was he terrible in the 4th quarter during the regular season too?
-
they certainly look solid statistically...
-
pretty sparse, but thanks for what you could find

T-mac isn't soft, he's a choke artist. There's a difference. He put up great stats in every game, but in the fourth quarter, when he's supposed to take over, he looked awful. I agree with ya'll that he needed some help, but i don't understand how he could own the game for 3 quarters, and then look so bad in the 4th.
In the 4th quarter:
L Game 1: 0 points (rockets were in this game, only down 8 going into the 4th)
L Game 2: 1 point (rockets were only down 2 going into the 4th)
W Game 3: 7 points (he hit some big shots, but it took him until 3:29 in the 4th to find the basket)
L Game 4: 4 points ( no points in the last 4:35 of a 4 point loss)
W Game 5: 8 points (no pressure here, the game was over going into the 4th)
L Game 6: 12 points (again, not much pressure here, as the game was basically over going into the 4th)
He was fantastic in this series unless it was the 4th quarter of a close game.

in high school, me and two friends used to go to a place called "pleasure island" and fish at walter umphrey state park where docks extended across the water. I never really fished, but i remember being there.
ever been?
i think i remember going a time or two. i remember this one time we stayed up fishing all night out there, and the next morning as breakfast was on the grill, me and my buddies all passed out in the shade with the ocean breeze blowing in. i don't think i've ever had a better nap.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- Jeff Maggert withdrew from The Players Championship, telling tournament officials that his brother died in a small plane crash in Colorado en route to his son's college graduation.
The Aspen Daily News reported the 1965 Cessna 1982 was co-owned by Barry Maggert and Carroll Winkler, who said that Maggert was flying the plane to Boulder for his son's graduation from the University of Colorado.
Maggert, the golfer's older brother, has 23-year-old twin sons, Lee and Bryant. Lee Maggert was to graduate Friday.
Jeff Maggert played Thursday afternoon and opened with an even-par 72. He learned of the plane crash when he finished his round and was scrambling for information before withdrawing late Thursday and flying to Colorado.
He confirmed to tournament officials that his brother had died. The Gilpin County Sheriff's office said Friday morning it was waiting for family to arrive before releasing the names.
Maggert is a three-time winner on the PGA Tour who has played on three Ryder Cup teams. He lives in Houston and has five children, including 3-year-old twin girls.
Barry Maggert, an engineer from Carbondale, Colo., made an unsuccessful candidacy last month as a town trustee.
Alpine Rescue Team spokesman Bill Barwick said about 50 people, some on snowmobiles, helped the rescue effort in mountainous terrain at 10,400 feet. He said the sheriff's office was waiting for daylight and better weather Friday to bring down the body.
The 23-year-old passenger was taken to a Denver's hospital. His condition was unknown. FAA spokesman Mike Fergus in Seattle said one of the people on board called 911 from a cell phone after the crash.

2-0 Sweeny in the 7th
dangit!
-
looks like a nailbiter so far.
-
anyone know if sweeny is ranked or what their record is?
-
BH getting hammered again. 10-1 still in 3rd. Ross Hales pulled in 3rd Johnathan Kelly pitching. Ross arm just not there, seems to be worn down from too much district work or he's injured.
sheesh...

it comes on at 4:30 or 5:00 on Monday or Tuesday afternoon, too. I don't remember which, but i often watch it when laying down for my afternoon nap

Wind was ridiculous all weekend we didnt even bother taking the boat out because we didnt want to fight the wind. By 8 this morning we were glad we didnt chance it because the wind was whipping. We did make a little trip to the catfish hole and I have never seen so many snakes in my life and they were to friendly for my liking.
you catch anything? (besides snakes, of course)

this was definitely an important divisional result after their slow start!

I'll feel a little better about Dallas' performance if the spurs lose this series
Rockets need to develop Steve Novak.....

He had Yao for the first 13 of those games. It was still an impressive streak, but once they lost the momentum of the streak, T-Mac only led them to a .500 record for the rest of the season counting the playoffs. McGrady is a very talented player, but there are plenty of superstars in this league who carry a big load on their team and still manage to perform in the 4th quarter. The argument about his supporting cast would hold more water if McGrady was playing well in the 4th and they were still losing. As it was, he underperformed in the 4th quarter of several winnable games. I don't buy the argument that he was tired. There are several players in this league playing the type of minutes he plays who are just as central in their teams' schemes as he is. Comparing Kobe to T-Mac is not comparing apples to apples. It's like comparing hundred dollar bills to fifty dollar bills. Both are nice to have, but anybody in their right mind would rather have one more than the other.
