Today there was another police shooting, this one in Orangefield. Beaumont has had two in the last 3 weeks, and jasper had one a couple of months ago. Lots going on. They all seem justified to me. The only one that was very questionable was the chainsaw guy, but it sure sounds like he went after somebody with the chainsaw before he got shot. I’ll take Silsbee by a couple touchdowns. HF’s passing game was hampered by the weather. Shouldn’t be a problem for Silsbee Friday. HF had I think 3 empty trips in the red zone the other night, including a wide open drop in the endzone. You never know for sure, but considering HF moved the ball fairly well in the muck and rain most of the game, I think Silsbee will be able to in better conditions.

Less of an upset, but still a little surprising. Carthage only beat them by 3 last year

Lost 22-15 to Longview pine tree. Pine tree has sucked for a long time. Improved a little last year and went 6-5 as a playoff team, then dropped down to 4A this year. Not sure if they’re coming up, or if Gilmer dropped off

Heck yeah! Figured the weather would even this one out some. Glad HF found a way to get it done at the end, and LCM has to feel pretty good about their performance considering what is expected from the horns this year
