  1. sloppy field conditions could even things out a bit. not enough, but at least maybe keep it respectable.
  2. Trump went to the wreath laying ceremony, which is great. If his intentions were pure, it would be a fantastic gesture. but then he tries to turn it into a political exposure thing for his campaign. When his team was not allowed to film, BECAUSE IT'S AGAINST THE LAW, they tried to do so anyway and an altercation ensued. If Trump was there to simply honor soldiers, why was it so important to him and his team that he be filmed and photographed at the service? I think we all know the answer. Campaigning on the backs of dead soldiers is atrocious, which is why it's illegal to film and photograph politicians for political purposes at ANC to begin with. And of course his most ardent supporters don't see anything wrong with it. Can't even fathom that he'd do that, despite the glaring fact that his team freaked out when someone tried to stop them from filming and photographing him, and then have gone after the official who stopped them relentlessly in the media. it's clear the politics worked, at least for his diehards.
  3. huffman was really solid for several years up until 3 years ago. I was pretty surprised how quickly they dropped off.
  4. Huffman went 1-9 last year with their one win coming against 1-9 Splendora, 3-7 the year before that. This game is a tossup, and La Marque is probably the favorite, unless Huffman has a ton of fresh talent coming in.

  6. you've seen the HF defense play? I feel like this is a "no." HF defense has been fairly dominant in their scrimmages so far, from what I've seen with my own eyes and also heard. I'm not saying they've played great offenses, but nobody has made them "look poor" up to this point. we'll see what LCM does against them with their big O-line. And about this explosive offense... 5 of their 6 wins last year came against teams with a 7-44 record, and the only reason they managed 7 wins between them was because BC beat two 3A teams and there were four games where two of the five teams played each other and someone had to win. LCM played 4 solid teams last year (if we count WOS), and averaged about 8 points a game in those contests. So have they grown so much this season that they're now "explosive?"
  7. defense should still be pretty salty, but you're right, they lost some key guys. it's my understanding there are some solid pieces moving up as well, though. Pirtle is also back and healthy, and should be starting somewhere in the secondary. he's a ballplayer.
  8. I think jasper can keep it close. that defense has been stout, and it's gonna be TCH's first real game of the season. I wouldn't be surprised to see their offense take awhile to get clicking. I'll still take chapel hill, 21-13
  9. HF is really good this year. I was kinda curious to see how they'd scrimmage against lumberton last week. the fact that they were up 21-0 and lumberton took their ball and went home after 1 quarter told me a lot. If you'd asked me for a full game prediction, I would've picked HF over lumberton by 21. The horns looked like they could hang 60 on them. If LCM hasn't improved a lot from last year, HF could win in a blowout. The horns are better this year than last, and they were pretty dang good last year when they beat a couple of teams who pounded on the bears pretty good. I'll take HF by 21.
  10. #7years #clockisticking
  11. a neighbor posted videos of his body on facebook talking about how the police shot him for no reason. he "didn't have a chainsaw". the lighting is poor, but in the video there's something on the ground next to his body that kinda looks like a chainsaw. the family also provided three pictures of the victim to kfdm that they posted, and in every one of them he's holding a beer. I'm no detective, but what do you think the odds are that he was a bit inebriated when he did whatever he did saturday night?
  12. I have lots of thoughts about it, but don’t really want to get into arguments with family members on Facebook who just lost a loved one.
  13. BU loses all these D1 players and you start to think they may go downhill a little, then you hear about a 6’7” freshman with an offer to LSU 😀
  14. Family is on Facebook saying he didn’t do anything. He didn’t have a chainsaw. But if he did, it’s because he’s a professional tree cutter. No word on who hired him to cut trees at his own house in the dark
  15. [Hidden Content]# not really a murder, but crazy
  16. Good thing they have district to look forward to
  17. Definitely a net win for the Donald. There will be voters who were going to vote for neither of the terrible candidates that were planning on voting for RFK. Some of them will likely vote for trump knowing that RFK may get an important post in Trump’s cabinet and be inside his sphere of influence. I don’t think it’ll be a huge number, but even a 0.5% increase could make the difference in some of the battleground states
  18. not gonna lie, i was pretty upset with the result of the lies last election... hoping it doesn't happen again
  19. In echo of 2020, Trump claims he’ll lose only if Democrats ‘cheat’ (msn.com) setting up the excuses in advance.
  20. If i started a thread of all the crap and insults that he's thrown it would be 1000 pages long. He's literally brought the majority of it on himself. Typical bully behavior to be honest. And y'all can say he's not a bully, I've got TDS, whatever, but Trump IS a bully. That's why a lot of people like him. Crap on everyone, beat up the little guy, but when everyone gives it back gets his feelings hurt and plays the victim.
  21. It's accurate, but the numbers are kind of misleading. for instance: he endorses Abbott, but Abbott had a 100% chance of being reelected. Somewhere around 80% of his endorsements are not in competitive races. His endorsements of incumbents in deep red states are basically irrelevant. Where he's hurt up tremendously is by endorsing bad candidates in tight races in battleground states. Here's a quote from a 2022 article after the right greatly underperformed in the midterms that sums things up pretty well: "Looking just at contests deemed competitive by the NBC News political unit, based on political dynamics of those races and ad spending, 46 of Trump’s candidates won, and 33 lost. Of the 33 who lost, 32 of them echoed Trump’s false claims that the 2020 election was stolen." Looking at that, it still looks okay, but you have to consider that most of the competitive races that his candidates won were still red-favored races. he failed to flip house/senate/governor seats that were needed and expected at the midterms of what was, and still is, a disastrous presidential term from Biden. History has always shown that the midterms bode well for the opposite party when a president struggles in office, but the 2022 midterms were a disaster for republicans.
  22. you know what's funny? based on a lot of the statements he's making, I genuinely think it's hurting Trump's feelings.
  23. it absolutely can, and absolutely is. communism doesn't have anything to do with it. Trump's only requirement for an endorsement is that you go along with his stolen election claims (or that your opponent publicly disputed them). do that, and you can put his name on your signs. and all it takes is trump's name to get the republican nod in many cases, no matter how terrible a candidate it is. that's how you get a republican candidate losing to a stroke patient. of course, the excellent candidate that trump backed in that race was a TV doctor. there was a reason that democrats not-so-secretly donated money in many campaigns for the crappy politicians Trump endorsed... they knew they could beat them more easily that a decent candidate without a Trump endorsement.
  24. feels that way. mean tweets are back, but more unhinged and less coherent.
  25. I mean, yeah. Not sure why the right gets to get upset when the left slams their candidate. you know, the one who has spent 8 years slamming anyone and everyone who disagrees with him or denies his wildest claims.
